"I don't need your protection!" My voice bounces off the damp brick walls of the alleyway we're in. "All my life I have fought to get what I want, fought for basic human rights. Don't you dare think for one second I'm some weak little boy who is going to break! I could burn this whole world with the amount of fire I hold inside of me!" I watched as the man I love, look me in the eyes with zero emotions. "I never said you was weak, nor do I look at you as that." His voice was low, he steps closer to me as our eyes still looked at each other. My breath quickened at how close he was. " I will protect you," he puts his finger up as I opened my mouth. "I will protect you, now and forever, that isn't going to change. Get use to it" he said in the same low voice before stepping back. "Now, take off them heels and put these ones on." He says in his usual voice, he places my favourite pair of trainers down in front of me before straightening up. "Then let's go home." TW
