Sonic, Shadow and Blaze are once again pulled into a storybook adventure, along with Knuckles, Silver and Jet, this time, in the Storybook of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. 
With the help of Caliburn, a talking Sacred Sword with a sharp tongue, and Merlina, a powerful wizard lynx who is the granddaughter of Merlin himself, Sonic and his friends must now explore the once striving lands of Camelot to find the other Sacred Swords and defeat the Black Knight, before all is lost.

Will they stop him without being captured by the villains of this world? Or will the villain rise to the top, rendering the heros useless?
