What started out as an assignment for my Creative Writing class is now going to become something new and different. This is a fantasy story where I've only written one chapter for just to get practice. It may change, it may get removed, or it may get added to. I will continue to work on it and develop it more and more. For now, I hope you like what I have so far. For my inspiration, it's a sort of mix from a bunch of different stories I've read during my childhood up until now. Warrior Cats by Erin Hunter, Wings of Fire by Tui T. Sutherland, Foxcraft by Inbali Iserles, Varjack Paw by S. F. Said, The Familiars by Adam Jay Epstein and Andrew Jacobson, and finally Scary Stories for Young Foxes by Christian McKay Heidicker. I know! That's a lot of books about animals! Welcome to my world. A little synopsis: "Mitzi is a young red fox who is traveling with a pack of wolves. From as far as she could remember, she could be with them. The only explanation she received of her previous family was death. She isn't treated very well and is often pushed to the side, always vulnerable to whatever trouble there is. Her only solace is her reflection in the water, something often pulled her into it, something mysterious. One night, she discovers something crazy and magical that will change her life and the lives of everyone she knows."
