Clayton Sanderson just awoke from a disturbing dream, one where he murdered his student Amanda Harper, a beautiful redhead with a surfeit of positive traits, far too many to be fair. Clayton can feel the thrum of her neck snapping, the sensation running up and down his arm like a train in Italy. Dreams should fade, but Clayton can't ignore the girl sprawled at his feet. He will soon find other bodies, some in his house. As the dead pile up he must come to terms with the label of serial killer. That or some conspiracy has been laid that will put him in prison only so long as it takes his appeals to run out. Or is the truth something stranger? The woman in the park seems to think so. Who is Clayton to doubt a woman in a park?
