I then came out from the corner and started walking towards them. They all stopped and smiled as I came over. As I passed by I grabbed Emma's wrist and dragged her behind me. All the cheerleaders looked at us with disgust as we walked down the hall. The minute we turned the corner away from them I let go of her wrist and looked at her. "Thank you" she sighed with relief. "No problem. I don't understand why the concept of us being friends isn't getting through to their small brains" I said frustrated. "Well, I'm average and your... You know, Kai" she said with a hint of hurt in her voice. "Average? You seriously think of yourself so lowly? Where's your self-esteem?" I asked looking at her. She was gorgeous, how could she not see it? "Yeah, compared to them I'm average" she put her head down. "Emma, you're beautiful. Stunning. Okay, I like you just the way you are. Don't let them get to you. They hide under layers of makeup, but you don't. Lighten up" I said lifting her chin to look at her eyes.
