I'm British author of romantic comedies, dreaming of becoming an expat in France. I've published three novels on Amazon, Millie and the American Wedding, Universally Challenged and Don't Tell the Groom.

You could say I live and breathe chick lit. I write it. I read it. I review it. My favourite authors include Sophie Kinsella, Lindsey Kelk, Jane Green, Marian Keyes and Freya North.

I'm a columnist for the women's fiction website Novelicious and a reviewer and contributor for the website the ChickLit Club.

When I'm not chained to my laptop or reading, I love nothing more than going on long walks with my adorable labrador and my lovely husband. We're just about to take an extended trip to France for a few months, so I'm hoping I don't end up the shape of a barrel from too much red wine and cheese.

I started writing after a failed interview for the TV show, The Apprentice, which is a show I adore. I was walking past Random House in London and I told my husband (he was a new boyfriend at that point) that someday they were going to publish my novel. He told me that I was perhaps on to something as my application for the Apprentice had been very funny, even if the interview had been awful. So I started to write and not only did I discover my love of writing again, but I found that I actually could write a whole book. And three-and-a-half years on, I've self-published three novels that have enabled me to change careers from being a museum curator to being a full-time writer.
