Used to say, "I live to read." Now I live to write. Through poems, thesis, stories and novels, it seems I've honed my craft half to death! But hope that's an exaggeration. Love classics, #litfic, a good mystery (gritty is fine but easy on the gore), and the best in science fiction. Oh—and poetry, especially in Russian!

My publications are in The Kenyon Review, Cream City Review, Poetry Motel, California Quarterly, and others. My novel OUR ORBIT, a tale of comedy and social conflict in Appalachia of the 1990s, is re-launching from Booktrope of Seattle in June 2015. TO BOLDLY GO: Essays for the Turning Years is on Amazon.

Are there any realists around here? Anyone?
