I'm lover of reading and the great escape/distraction it can provide. I appreciate the efforts that Wattpad writers put into their books, quality finds, and even diamonds in the ruff as I can see their great potential.
While some readers may use this platform as more of a social media account, I see these kind of interactive platforms as great opportunity for writers to get specific feedback, the good and the bad, to improve their writing capabilities and their stories. When that kind of feedback loop happens, we all benefit. Even more so I'd love to see some of these stories really get the credit they are due and get elevated to greater readership and enjoyment, and beyond (publishing, TV, movies). I appreciate that I have an opportunity to be involved in the beginning and follow these writers' progress.
I especially appreciate those writers who continue to strive for improvement and respect their readers by striving to provide quality writing. Perfection is not expected, but I in turn respect the most those authors who make a concerted effort and don't waist the readers' time with gibberish and excessive grammatical errors. They only detract from a good story and turn off readers, and that is what we are all really here for aren't we?
