I'm Jade, they/them. I've been writing and reading for years and adore it, almost as much as I adore how kind and wonderful you all have been to me <3

Taking a look at my posted works should give you the basic run-down of who Jadewing47 is and what I write about, so I'll save this little section here for something way more important, on the off chance that you might take the time to read it. 

Listen up. 

I don't know you, and you don't know me. I hope you're just here for a nice read and nothing more. But I know that's not the case for everyone. 

I've been in dark places, real dark places, and I've been here, searching for someone who writes about the way my own brain works. I've been here, feeling detached, searching for something that I know will trigger me because sometimes its nice to hurt again, its nice to grab that familiarity back and hold it close to your chest, it's nice to read about a character you identify with hurt and bleed and cry; and for someone to save them, help them, love them despite it all. And then it's crushing to step back from that into reality and feel like you don't have any of that, and fear that you never will. 

I don't know you, but I love you. Every part of you- the flawed, the damaged, the broken, the ugly. You are worth so much more than hurt. You are worth so, so much. And I can't tell you what to do. I can't wipe away your hurt and tell you not to damage yourself further. If you're here looking for pain, you've got it. I know it, and I write it. You've found what you're looking for. So maybe this isn't worth anything, but I'm going to say it anyways: be gentle with yourself. Stop chasing hurt. Start living.
