Tears were impotent for they could never portray the sorrow that engulfed me, nor could any words speak of the pain that seeped from my soul.  Only the silence could articulate my torment, as no words, sound or fluid could ever match the deathly melancholy that cauterized my being.  As light turned to dark and the sun sunk into the mysterious forest, I remained unmoved and disregarding of the world outside my window.  Or of any evil that lay within.	  FOREVER LOLA 2013

I heard a harrowing scream and threw my hands over my eyes, trying to hide from the nightmare scene that had acted out before me.  It was only as my throat began to throb with its efforts that I realised that the scream was my own, and that Lola was stood silently beside me, her arms now limp at her side, the whip discarded on the grass.
