I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. It's a great place to write since it's too hot to go outside most of the time. Writing is more of a recent interest. It is a many faceted jewel that for me is still a bit in the rough.

My studies have moved from academic construction to study of craft, in my pursuit of the dream of completing my novel. It was a story that started with a dream, one I shared with my daughter. One day I will share it with everyone else. In the mean time, I'll do some writing for fun. I hope you enjoy the stories.

The members here are great. Several have offered advice and helped introduce me to many of the useful aspects of Wattpad. Thanks to that guidance I am checking out some clubs and finding some amazing stories.

I've written a little, but I have become fascinated by contests! I have entered two here and one on Writer's Digest ($25 entry fee). My thanks to those who did vote for both listed here. One reader recently apologized that my story "Cosmetic Perfection" was too scary to finish past the halfway point! I took that as high praise. Thanks!
I look at contests as a way to help a writing career. Even if you don't win on this site, you have something to show for it. It can still entertain people and some of them might be agents or editors looking for potential clients. I sure hope so anyhow.

I'm editing my Beta corrections to a 9.5K word Novelette. Thanks, to my two wonderful Beta volunteers who were so helpful and enthusiastic! I'll use their suggestions and submit it to a few periodicals. I have to start risking rejection slips at some point. Maybe I will eventually get some credentials to list here instead of dreams.
I also have to pull some stories from my notebook to start adding some content here. I want to get some up as soon as possible but still respect the readers and provide a good story.

I own: 49 books on writing

I just completed my fifth entry into the #planetorplastic contest. Have a look; it's under 500 words. https://www.wattpad.com/story/168407581
