My name isn't actually Lyra. I just thought it was cooler than using a name like "Snickerdoodle"- though now that I think about it XD
About me:
I authored 17 books under the names Jessica, Sonja, Gina and Clara. They aren't just pen names to me. Some allow me to keep my identity a secret and write as I please. Others are tied to themes that I can't get away from.

My family is full of dark (rather fucked up secrets) and from that I have gained inspiration- or more accurately, fodder to write my real life. My children- now young adults are my muse.

Five years ago, I began writing in earnest and it has continued again now.

I wrote about Lemon, whose heart is too big for the cage it lives in.
I wrote about Coralene, who loved and lost and still dared to love again.
I wrote Poutine, a story soaked in belonging and the ache of memory.
I wrote Forced Farewell, where grief is sharp enough to cut the future.
I wrote Time's Daughter, chasing the seam between memory and prophecy.
I wrote Unquenchable Pursuit, tangled in palace intrigue and impossible love.
I wrote my field guide, a collection of ghosts and small, shimmering truths.
And one day, I will write Now Endure.

I am neurodivergent.
I am a trauma survivor.

I dissociate like it's nobody's business. Sometimes I don't know who is writing or talking- and I suppose thats why I understand my characters so deeply. I'm shy AF and have a hard time making eye contact and holding a conversation. I despise small talk. Grammar and tenses are death.

I'm not a perfect writer.
I'm not a perfect person. But you're welcome here.
