Sarah S. Davis

Hi there and thanks for reading! I'm Sarah. I live near Philadelphia with my two cats (Jon Snow and Minerva), heaps of loose-leaf tea, and stacks of books that take up every spare surface and (bonus!) insulate my unheated office. I love to craft and cook.

I am a writer and editor by day and mostly write about books. I've written for Book Riot, Kirkus Reviews, Barnes and Noble, Psych Central, and BookRags. I majored in English at UPenn and earned my Master's of Library Science from Clarion University, though I'm a "freelance" librarian who works from home. I'm really excited to start the MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults at Vermont College of Fine Arts in January. 

I write nerdy and bookish characters, many of whom live with neurodivergence, mental illness, and disability, topics close to my heart. Though I write about politics, I keep it pretty nonpartisan.

I am kind of an insomniac, so that would explain a late-night vote or follow!

Fangirl of: Doctor Who (Rose + Ten!), Sherlock, Game of Thrones, and Harry Potter.

Some of my favorite authors are Helen Fielding, Jenny Colgan, Christina Lauren, Donna Tartt, John Green, Stephanie Perkins, Tana French, E. Lockhart, Heather Demetrios, and Rainbow Rowell.

I do have some professional experience writing book taglines, book jacket descriptions, and author bios as well as editing books of all genres. I am also a sensitivity reader for stories with mental illness. Happy to do a free critique or beta read for you! :)
