I am a Southern California native now residing south of Boston, Massachusetts. A mother of two little ones and wife. A latina who is a leftest.

I am the eldest of three children and the daughter of hard working parents. Raised Roman Catholic but has since college questioned this doctrine.

When time allows I enjoy spending time with my family, close circle of friends and video chatting with family that still lives on the west coast.

My favorite places are the beach, libraries and anywhere they serve decent coffee.

The earliest loves I can recall are two things. Film and reading. Both of my parents greatly appreciated movies. This eventually rubbed off onto myself and my siblings. I look back fondly at trips to Hollywood video where we were allowed to choose a movie and then my parents would pick a second one for us. It was a fair compromise that allowed us to grab movies that were probably beyond our comprehension. Our parents would gladly discuss what questions we had. Then when we would watch their choice for us, it was usually a classic black and white film.

My parents, especially my mother, would read to us ever single night. The earliest books I can recall were James and the Giant Peach and The Velveteen Rabbit.

My mom would not hold back on character voices and pausing the reading to make sure we understood and appreciated the visual that was being set before us.

I absolutely love writing. It is an outlet for me. It is therapy for me.
