*A reading tip: 

These stories are not intended to be read as stand-alone books.  

Important scenes in book one will have a significant impact on characters and situations in the subsequent books.  A larger story is threaded throughout the series, major moments between couples take place outside of their books, important character development, a very funny (although, admittedly, incredibly petty) rivalry, and other major plot points would be spoiled/missed if you read the series out of its intended reading order.
