I wasn't planning to join Wattpad - I was quite happy enjoying your work from the background, but I'd like to be able to show my appreciation, so... here I am.

I am an engineering student in Sydney - I've made it through to fourth year, but with the amount of time I spend procrastinating on Wattpad, each exam is a challenge...

Should you ever find yourself without an internet connection, head down to your local library for one of those old-fashioned paperbacks. I'll even make some recommendations (free of charge!). My favourite book is probably 'The White Darkness' by Geraldine McCaughrean. For a children's novel, it really is quite a special coming-of-age tale. If you're looking for a historical romance, try Georgette Heyer - she is renowned for her historical accuracy, carefully blended with a good dose of humour for an engaging read. Otherwise, 'A Voice in the Wind' by Christian author Francine Rivers will linger in your mind as you follow Hadassah's journey through first century AD Rome. Looking for a classic? Try 'Jane Eyre', 'The Picture of Dorian Grey' or 'Pride and Prejudice'. Then throw Margaret Atwood's 'The Handmaid's Tale' in as well. If you're tired of the 'fanged and thirsty, 'oh-no! We're soulmates!' genre, Robin Mckinley has achieved the unthinkable: a non-cliched and absorbing vampire novel. 'Sunshine'. If I ever do drop out of engineering, this book will be the inspiration for a baking apprenticeship instead... Just kidding! (Mostly)

Perhaps some day I'll post my own story up here. I certainly have the ideas, but it's just a matter of finding the motivation to put pen to paper when I should actually be learning about vector spaces. Should I ever do so however, I will make a concerted effort to edit my story first. *That was a not-so-subtle hint to many authors here, by the way.* I'd love to give your stories the consideration they deserve, but... it's 'rogue', not 'rouge'!

Feel free to give me your own recommendations :)

@flights_of_fantasy I'm loving Eternal Flame - you portray your character's beautifully! As for Georgette Heyer... I've converted my mother too - she's just worked her way through Devil's Cub and Syl...
