Jessi Star Maison

Hello! I hope my page can be a comfortable reading nook for you, a place to exchanged ideas and works and a small haven from the storms that are raging out there. I write sci-fi, fantasy and horror. I can't wait to get to know you as a reader of my work and as a writer if you are one too.

I am a screenwriter, filmmaker, comic book writer, youth advocate and now novelist. I went to college to write science fiction and fantasy novels. I worked in film and with kids who have experienced homelessness for a long time and am returning to my first love, writing sci-fi and fantasy stories.

I am a mom of two kickass girls and an adopted German Shepherd mix. I live in Los Angeles with those lovelies and my husband. I run the School Garden and Arts Collective at my daughters' school. I work as a consultant to help organizations set up youth programs for underachieving youth. I have trained librarians in film and stop motion animation in the awesome maker world. I love libraries.

 I love the power and magic of stories. I know, we all do. I can't wait to get to know a lot of you and your work.
