I wish I'd been born in the fifties 
when rock was beginning to swell.
When some of the best bands ever
were coming out of their shell.

If only I'd just turned fifteen
when that new band appeared.
They were clean shaven and Liverpool spoken,
with flashing guitars, smartly geared.
