Howdy gang, how's everyone been?
It has certainly been a hot minute since I last made an announcement or content post on here. Life, like I'm sure it has been for all of you, has been complicated and crazy and strange for me. Writing, at least for the past few months, has only added to that craziness, and in an effort to regain some kind of control I let go. Put it in the backseat. I've let my job, my relationships, my family and my responsibilities take over, which in the long term was detrimental for my writing ability, and I'm struggling to find my way back to the writer I used to be.
Writing is my absolute passion. Creating stories that sweep people off their feet, sending them into a better or romanticised reality is the reason why I created my Wattpad account and decided to be an author. I let that passion go, let it suspend when I should have been nurturing it. Feeding it.
It's what I'm going to keep doing, from now on. This isn't a farewell post, but a hopeful one. I'm not giving up yet.
I'm sorry to those that have been waiting for updates. There's no excuse.
I'm not really sure if this announcement has a concrete purpose, but I like the idea of having something I can look back on to keep myself accountable. Hopefully this post serves as that (and tells all of you that I am indeed still alive)
Hope this made sense. It wasn't edited or proofread or had any structure to it, which is not like me, but I figured a stream of conciousness rather than a meticulously crafted piece of work would be better.
