hey, I know I’ve been quiet but I’d just like to say that I’m glad so many people are mobilizing - that we’re FINALLY banding together in unity against these injustices, after all these years and deaths and beatings. I’d also like to point out that anyone who decides that the looters’ damage is more of a problem than the police brutality and marginalization and systemic racism is wrong, and I read something that summed it up pretty perfectly: (I’m just gonna paraphrase it) that destroyed buildings can be replaced, but how much is a person’s life worth? Is their death really worth less than the damaged property? Because that’s basically what anyone who keeps bashing looters and rioters is saying - that those buildings are worth more than the lives lost and gone forever.
