I was raised in Washington State, attended The Wesleyan College in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and later moved to Northeast Texas where I've resided for over 30 years. 
Retired from a 25 year career in the financial industry, I am now able to write full time. Since retirement I've published 5 books and created a series called The Velvet Shoe Collection inspired by stories I heard from my grandmother while I hid under a stairwell at 5 years old. My 1st novel, An Unlikely Arrangement won 2nd place in National Literary Awards. My 2nd book in the series, An Unlikely Beginning won 1st place in the Texas Association of Authors in 2013 , and the 3rd book in the series, An Unlikely Conclusion also won 1st place in the Texas Association of Authors in 2014 . I won a short story contest with Angie's Diary, A Summer Tale, winner of the Essay contest 50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading 2013, am a member of East Texas Writers Association, Northeast Texas Writers Organization, Texas Association of Authors and Texas Federation of Women's Clubs - Marshall Chapter, a Lifetime Member of the Worldwide Who's Who for Professional Women, named VIP for 2013. I am married with 2 grown sons, grandchildren and great children. I currently live in Texas with my husband, Ron, and crème lab Cutter, and enjoy gardening, am an avid bowler, and love to travel.
