Leave it to WattPad to have notifications for me when I haven't been writing original stuff because life! Had my wisdom teeth pulled and other stuff this month. Haven't been feeling well enough to get into my original stories. But I just wanted to say that I HAVE noticed the handful of readers adding things to their lists and I truly appreciate it the support. Once I'm better, I will do my best to get back to those stories, mainly The Grackle, when I can. Cross your fingers for me. :-)

Hey everyone!

It's summer! Just wanted to pop in and let y'all know that I do plan on returning to writing but I'm on vacation. Odds are I won't be posting much until July. Wishing everyone good health and safety! Until next time...

I know Versification has officially kicked off! And as much as it pains me, I don't think I have the mental or physical energy to participate this year. TT^TT I'm still working on my #ONC2023 entry and the final deadline is at the end of April. At the very least, maybe I can use the poetry prompts from Versification as inspiration, but not participate. I can't write 20k for ONC and 30 poems for Versification. (sigh)

Right? I wanted to try it because I wanted to see if I could actually do it. If I could write a first draft from start to finish in a fraction of the time it took me to write Debts to Dead Men. But I've gotta say, three weeks to wrap up if you're aiming for 20k total? Probably do-able. But for me, my story is going to be in the 30-40k range so...yeah...

@rfloetry I never planned on participating, but I know how you feel with so many things to do!

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been actively editing Debts to Dead Men or adding to Betrothed to the Gloxinias. Will definitely get back to those at some point.

In the meantime, I've been trying my hand at a dark fantasy (monster) romance for #ONC2023. I've never participated, and I've never written a novella, so this was a cool way to experiment. It's a simpler and more lighthearted attempt at a much longer/more complicated novel I tried to write at least two or three times, but failed. I decided to try again because I read some writing advice that sums down to, "stop trying to write artistic/technical/pretentious crap to the point where it blocks you." Here's the pin for anyone who wants to read the advice: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/582442164327934155/

Anyway, will publish it by the end of the month for anyone who's curious. :D

Without Parole has officially been renamed! It's now called "Debts to Dead Men"... which may still change in the future. We'll see lol it's still being edited. ;-)

As for the first draft of the prequel, I'll have that up soon. Will probably just post one chapter at first even though I have a few, just in case something changes, and I have to edit up the chain.

I've added a new chapter right before "Chapter 4: Let the races begin!", and edited the existing chapter 4. The race rules are explained better, and I've added more insight into the circumstances regarding Rose's cousin. I've also been fleshing out Lancet's men more as I go. I may be changing the title to "Without Parole" soon as it no longer makes sense with the story. Will announce the change when it's made. Thank you for the support! :D
