Part 15 - Sweet Revenge

* Hadrian's POV *
It had been a few weeks and we were now having tea in the hall, I sat next to Tom and already news of what happened in Flying class had reached everyone. The teachers wanted to punish someone but since no one had gotten hurt and they didn't witness the event they had to let it go. Malfoy finally left me alone even if it was only from the embarrassment, hopefully that would continue. Tom was still a little smug since the school was talking about how they were together now, which technically they weren't but Tom said it didn't matter since he had no plans of letting me go. I just laughed and blushed a lot.

Dumbledore began a speech about the year so far and about the Christmas holidays, I wasn't particularly exited since I would have to go back with the monsters. The only hopeful thing was that maybe, they would be scared now and leave me alone for most of the holidays. Dumbledore finally finished his speech and the table began to talk again, everyone was exited for the holidays but I noticed that Tom hadn't mentioned what he was doing, so I decided to ask him about it later. We finished dinner and went back to the common room and sat in front of the fire, like usual I sat on the sofa and leaned on Tom. He never seemed to mind so it became a thing.

After a while the common room had slowly emptied and now it was just me and Tom. I had moved and had my head in his lap as he ran a hand through my hair. I smiled as we made light conversation to get to know each other better, I think that he is the only person who knows nearly everything about me. I wanted to ask about his Christmas plans but I don't want to upset him or make him feel uncomfortable so it was a hard conversation to start.

"I'm not looking forward to Christmas with the twins hopefully I can get out of it", he chuckled and agreed, I took this as a good opening and decided to be brave and go for it. "What are your plans for Christmas", his hand instantly froze and I panicked "it's okay if you don't want to say, I just wanted to make sure you would be happy".

He did t speak and the tension was building, I regretted saying anything at all but then he spoke. "My parents are dead. Or at least that's what I was always told", I sat up and looked into his eyes while running circles on his palm. "My mother died giving birth to me and I've lived at an orphanage ever since but I'm okay, I just", he looked into the fire and I kept a sad smile on my face "I've never told anyone that before".

Deciding that was enough for tonight I grabbed a blanket that was resting on the arm chair and pushed him so he was playing down. He looked up confused and I just smiled as I laid next to him, pulling the cover over us. "I've decided your staying here with me tonight", he chuckled and wrapped his arms around me, "I'm glad you told me, and I'm glad you trust me enough". I laid my head on his chest and snuggled my nose in the crook of his neck, he kissed the top of my head and this time we fell into a comfortable silence.

I woke up and smiled at Tom who smiled back and then pointed behind me, I turned to see everyone waiting for us and blushed. "Morning", George said with a wink, I laughed at him and told them all to go to breakfast as we would meet them there. I jumped up but was immediately pulled back down and pulled in for a kiss, it took me a second but I kissed back and smiled when he pulled away. "What was that for?" I asked trying to ignore the blush I knew was there, "just because". "Mmmm well as much as I like that we've got to get ready", he groaned and I laughed as I walked to get changed.

Once I had gotten ready I walked back into the common room and waited for Tom, once he joined me, he took my hand and we walked into the hall. We sat down and talked with everyone until the owls flew in carrying mail, I wasn't expecting anything so I just waited for the noise to finish like usual but then something landed in front of me.

I looked at the letter and opened it, it was a letter from Siri.

Dear Harry,

I know that you don't get along with your siblings and the recent events with your forced inheritance was the last draw for me. I wanted to ask you if you would like to spend the Christmas holidays with me at the Ancestral Black home. It is okay if you would rather spend Christmas with your Parents and siblings but I would love to have you over for the holidays to catch up.

I am sure that your siblings told you but in case they didn't I want to tell you that I will be teaching next year in DADA.

I hope we can get into some mischief

I felt the tears spring to my eyes and I couldn't stop smiling, I could spend the holidays away from the monsters and Sirius would be able to join me when he comes to teach next year. Now I have an idea but I would have to ask Siri first, but hopefully he says yes. Then both Tom and I would have a good Christmas holiday! I grabbed some parchment and wrote a quick letter to Sirius asking if Tom could come over as well.

I waited until the next day when the mail flew in and thankfully another letter dropped in front of me, I opened it and quickly scanned the writing. YES! this was going to be the best Christmas, if Tom agreed.
