"Do you want to sit with us?" Ginny asked as we entered the Great Hall.

"No, thanks," I said, "I have to do something."

Mustering up all the courage I could, I strutted up to the professors' table.

"Excuse me?" I smiled politely, "Professor?"

Umbridge raised her eyebrows at me innocently, "Yes, Miss Taylor?"

"Do you think we could reschedule our detention?" I asked, "I'm afraid I have a conflict."

"You'll have to rearrange your schedule," she said bitterly, "Your detention is tonight."

"I just can't be there," I frowned, trying to think of a lie.

"And why is that?"

"I...have a meeting with my Head of House," I lied quickly.

"You mustn't tell lies, Miss Taylor," she scowled.

"I'm not lying!" I protested.

She grinned manically before she nudged Professor Snape.

He turned to her with a look of disgust.

"Severus, Miss Taylor seems to be under the impression that she has a meeting with you tonight. Is this correct?" the toad pursed her lips.

Snape studied me for a moment. I nodded at him with a hopeful expression.

"Please?" I mouthed silently.

"Yes," he said curtly, turning away immediately.

Hm, that was easier than I expected.

I grinned triumphantly, "I'll see you tomorrow."

I left her to sit alone in her own misery.

"Why can't you let me in?" I griped.

"Say the password," the Fat Lady ordered.

"I did," I rolled my eyes.

"That was last week's password," she said.

I scowled.

"You're a Slytherin," she frowned.

"Just let me in!" I protested, "I'm meeting someone."

"No," she said.

I reached into my shoe and pulled out the knife Georgina had gifted me for my thirteenth birthday. I had yet to use it, and I was much too scared to ever do so.

I held it in front of me, "Let me in."

"Are you threatening me?"

"Yes, just let me-"

"Oi! Taylor!" the portrait swung open, revealing Fred, "A knife? Slytherin has hardened you."

I rolled my eyes, "She wouldn't let me in."

"Well, I will," he said dramatically, "Come in, ickle Taylor."

I grinned as I stepped into the Gryffindor common room.

"So," I said, sitting down on a couch, "Why'd you want to see me?"
