Y/N was wakened by Hawks a few hours after she had just fallen asleep after Dabi's lecture. Her heart started racing as soon as she saw his face.
Oh god, is Dabi gone? Does this mean it's time? What if he doesn't want to have sex? Oh Jesus, what if he doesn't want to have sex with me.
Her mind was racing a million miles a minute as she registered the look on the hero's face. It was mixed with anger, frustration, and pure disappointment.
"Hey, kid," He brushed the hair out of her face and waited for her to wake up fully. "Can you wake up for me?"
Y/N whined while sitting up, rubbing her face slowly. "Is everything okay? Did you get the distress signal out?"
"Yeah, you can relax, kid."
"Then why do you look like shit if everything's okay?" Y/N asked, feeling slightly panicked. Had Dabi told him their plan and now he was going to let her down softly?
"Where is she? I want to see her!" A voice yelled from further inside the cabin that made Y/N grab onto Hawks' arm.
"If you don't shut the hell up--" Dabi growled followed but a hard thump.
"Tell me that's not--"
"It is." Hawks sighed in frustration. "He was following me around town, demanding that he needed to see you or he was going to expose our location to the media."
"How did he even find us?" Y/N whispered, her fingers clutching Hawks' jacket even harder. "If he could find us does that mean The Collector can find us?"
"No, it was purely by some twisted luck of fate that we were here at the same time." Hawks' amber eyes softened as he brought her into his arms. "Do you remember what you promised me?"
Y/N nestled her face into his shoulder, wrapping her arms tightly around his torso. "I promised you something?"
"You promised me that you would get over him." Hawks said softly, running his hand up and down her back.
And she remembered.
Y/N remembered the look in Hawks' eyes when he made her promise.
"That guy is a piece of shit, Y/N. You deserve so much fucking better. Promise me that you will get over that scum."
"Keigo--"
"Promise me, Y/N."
"I-I promise."
"I intend to keep that promise," Y/N leaned back so she could meet Hawks' eyes. He looked so handsome in the light of the bedside lamp.
He had bags under his eyes, probably due to not sleeping for almost 24 hours now, with his hair rumpled and a slight stubble yet Y/N had never found him more attractive than now.
"Y/N?!" Alex yelled.
Y/N clenched her jaw, quickly getting out of the bed and limping toward the living room. Dabi was holding Alex's shoulder to push him down into a chair, his hand searing the clothing under it.
"Oh my god, Y/N." Alex's gray eyes traveled over her body with bright concern. "What happened to you?"
"Why the fuck are you here?" Y/N crossed her arms over her chest.
"Why do you look like you were thrown off a building?" Alex shot back. "And why are you hiding out here with a villain and the number two hero?"
"Well, first off, I jumped off a few buildings, and secondly stay the fuck out of my business." Y/N stepped forward, her eyes narrowing. "Tell me, Alex, why are you here?"
Y/N pressed her quirk into him and Alex grimaced, his eyes pleading. "Y/N, we said we would never use our quirks on each other."
"And you said you would wait for me," Y/N snapped. "I guess we're both liars. Tell me why you're here, Alex."
"Things aren't what I thought they would be with Jamie," Alex hissed, sweat gathering at his brow as he tried to fight Y/N's quirk. But as she pressed into him more, he eventually broke. "I ran off in the middle of the night to your house but you weren't there. People at work hadn't heard from you in weeks, so I came here to escape when I saw Hawks."
"And what did you think would come of you seeing me?"
"I'm going to get you back because you've always been in love with me no matter what I did to you," Alex blurted and then he yelped. "Your friend is burning my shoulder!"
"Dabi," Y/N's voice had a note of warning in it.
"Technically, I'm still a villain. Killing this shithead would just be another small body on my record." Dabi threatened, placing both of his hands heavily on Alex's shoulders.
"I would look the other direction." Hawks' voice was barely above a growl. "Hear no evil, see no evil."
"I bet I could cremate this little bastard," Dabi grinned chaotically. "No body, no crime. Right, Alex?"
"Alright, that's enough, both of you." Y/N cleared her throat. "Well, I'm not going anywhere with you. In fact, I couldn't imagine a single worse thing than going with you. I don't love you anymore, Alex."
Confusion flashed in Alex's eyes. "What...what do you mean?"
"I don't love you." Y/N said more confidently. "And you're not going to say a fucking word about where we are or I will find you."
"Y/N, this is crazy."
"Get. Out." Y/N said calmly. "Dabi, can you escort him out of here?"
"Yes, ma'am." Dabi grabbed Alex by the collar and started to drag him out the door. He threw Alex into the snow then slammed the door on him. "What a fucking cockblock."
