I want you to imagine an android in your mind'

Can you tell me what they look like?

Undeniably, the word "android" should have been enough to spell out the image of a robot in human form. Some stereotypes from different fictions will worm themselves into the outcome. Your imgination is influenced by these preconception.

How do you imagine an android will act?

I personally assumed it depends on the programming of their AI. As a man who's a decade in the past, it is my initial hypothesis that these automations have a set of logical response programmed into their code at the start

T-Dolls, by their very definition, could be classified as a type of android. Their mechanical nature and friendly appearance would be enough of an indication for such examplery models

Now looking at one of them, I couldn't help but feel fascinated

The blonde girl hummed as she followed me past the mass of ELID infected littering the area. At some point she had retreated to guard my back after assessing no threats coming to the front

White skirt. Heavy coat of the same color. And...is that an Ushanka on her head? In the middle of the desert?

Obviously, she had went against every possible expectation I had of the nations (sector's?) military. There were no professionally speaking, cold-sounding, detached mind of steel beneath human flesh

"Shikkikan, may I have the scope of the parameter around us?"

Instead, the girl who walked behind me is something a military weeb could come up with. I hope it's not Bob who's designing them. The man could be a pervert at the worst of time

"Unnecessary" I glanced around, taking in every possible details around us. The motorcycle I rode in lies just about twelve minor sand dunes to the West, hidden beaneath a blanket of natural soil.

Seeing her questioning gaze, I continued

"Initial roam has already been conducted. ELID'er in the perimeter have been mostly eliminated or remained non-hostile from a distance. As this is only a transitory stop we not need to spend further resources on it"

"Transitory, sir?" She nonetheless did a clean sweep over our surrounding. I was impressed at the efficiency at which she did so

"Correct. We are heading toward Alfa city"

"Objective?"

"Evasion of pursuing Sangvis force"

For the briefest of moment I anticipate the possibility of her finding me doubtful. What kind of Shikkikan would order their troop to abandon this post? No, even the context of the situation is not credible in the first place

No matter how one put it my words could only come up as untrustworthy

"Alright"

That turned out different than I thought

I stared at the smiling T-Doll. Is it something I had said or is it because of the 1-S designation I had given myself that warrant this absolute trust in my authority?

Truly, the android's mind is an enigma unable to be understood by a normal man like me

The motorcycle roared across the desert, wind howling passed us. The T-Doll's hand wrapped around my waist as she pushed herself against my back, a cheerful smile still on her face
