Sunday came and went. Veronica never liked Sundays, in fact, she was never aware of them. She used to spend them talking with Martha, but now that she was studying, there was nothing left than to stay in bed, hoping not to think about Heather, and failing.
Veronica didn't like Sundays, because it reminded her of Heather's funeral. How she took her life, her dreams, her everything away. Sundays were the days when she couldn't stop thinking about Heather, and it scared her. One could say that she was always thinking of her, but it deeply scared her; the feeling she would get when the red girl passed through her mind terrified her. That's why she never dared to live on Sundays.
And that Sunday was no exception.
