It had been a rough Wednesday morning for Veronica. She had to scramble through her mind just to come up with an excuse as to why Jesse never came home the night before.
Little Sarah was 5 years old, she was old enough to realize something wasn't right, and she refused to leave for school until Veronica gave her an answer. But, no one can blame the little girl for wanting to make sure her daddy was alright. After all, she wasn't aware that her mother was a killer, and her father had been extremely close to becoming one.
Veronica said he stayed to work overnight, and Sarah's naive little mind bought it.
