chapter 2

screams... blood.... dead bodies

i couldn't move- my body was limp

i heard a sound. the sound was familiar- but not in a good way

the smell of blood and rotten food met my nose

disgusting

i felt the urge to throw up but i couldnt

the smell got worse and the weird sound too

i heard steps

then a creature came to my vision

a demon

the demon looked somewhat familiar. i've seen it before

i wanted to scream and run away- but i couldn't

a small whimper escaped my lips as the demon came closer and closer

it was so close to my face now that i could see every small detail on it's ugly face

it smelled awful. i couldn't bare it anymore

the demon slowly raised it's hand with long nails and in the blink of an eye the hand reached my throat and sliced it open

my eyes shot open and i was panting

it was just a dream

i tried calming down

my body was covered in cold sweat

i looked down at my little sister that i acidentally woke up

she looked scared

'shhshh it's alright. i just had a bad dream. everythings fine' i reassured her

then i began to remeber what happened yesterday

pictures flashed before my eyes

mom.. hikari.. the demon

i opened the closet and picked up shoko

i held her close to my chest- her face facing my body so she wouldnt have to see anything she shouldn't have to

i walked towards her room to see if i could leave her there

the room looked like it always did

no blood, no bodies, no demons

i sat her on the floor

'wait' i told her and walked over to a closet

i took out her futon and placed it on the floor next to her

i layed her down on the futon and tucked her in

'take a nap until i'm back' i smiled 'dont go anywhere okay?'

she nodded and closed her eyes

i walked out of the room and started searching for my family members
