CHAPTER 16

"What's the plan this weekend?" bungad na tanong sa akin ni Jenn nang magkatime kami. I'm so exhausted, I mean we're exhausted. Akala ko days lang ang matatawag kong kalbaryo sa school never thought it would turn into a week.

"Rest?" Suhestiyon ko. Sobrang kailangan ko noon. I've been working my ass off for a whole week, one day would be enough to regain my energy.

"Lutang ka girl? It's your birthday. My god Alythea don't tell me you forgot your own birthday?" I ignored Jenn's overreaction. Of course I remember but I'm not that person who looks forward to such events. I don't have the guts to celebrate it.

"Of course I remember."

"Yun naman pala eh... So what's the plan? Kung wala pang plano ako na mag paplan," I appreciate Jenn's effort to make this thing work but I just don't feel like celebrating.

"Jenn... Can we just celebrate it just like my past birthdays, hmm?"

"Alythea naman... Birthdays are worth to celebrate, Rayven pilitin mo nga itong isang 'to."

Rayven shrug, "Let her decide Jenn, it's her day after all."

Kaya they end up agreeing to my lunch date. The usual lunch date we always have on my birthdays.

"I'm thinking of inviting Maliah too para madagdagan tayo."

"Sure! The more the merrier."

"Invite him too," sabi ni Rayven.

"Huh?"

"Lucas..."

"Juicecolored may nasabi ring tama si Rayven. I'm so proud," pabirong sabi ni Jenn.

"Atleast di ako ng ah eh ih sa recitation kanina," at nagsimula na naman silang mag-bangayan.

"Busy yun..." tanging sabi ko.

"Kahit Sunday busy? Alam mo Alythea feeling secretary karin noh? Alam mo yung schedule ni Lucas. Alam naman nating he'll make time." naiiling na lang ako sa mga pinagsasabi ni Jenn.

Sa sobrang pagka busy namin sa mga school works di namin namalayan na sa wakas natapos rin ang isang linggong kalbaryo. We survive!

"Kita na lang tayo sa Sunday! Magbobonding muna kami ng kama ko..." Si Jenn lang yung nakita kong energetic sa lahat ng classmates ko. Yung iba ay halos papikit na ang mata at wala na sa sarili habang naglalakad, lahat gusto ng makapagpahinga.

Pagkauwing-pagkauwi ko sa condo ay nilamon na ako ng antok. Good thing kumain na kami sa labas.

Bukas na nga yung birthday ko. The usual routine every birthday; breakfast with the fam, lunchdate with Rayven and Jenn this time with Maliah and hopefully Lucas too, and my visitation to her. Others say that my way of celebrating is plain and boring. But it's the way I want it to be. The grandness of a celebration won't determine how special that day is, it's the feeling.

I head out from my condo to ate Elle's. Good thing Maliah is there babysitting the twins. I admire how hardworking Maliah is, she's babysitting and studying at the same time! Very evident based on the finance books scattered on their receiving area. Like how can working students do that? Study then work, that's really admirable. Nakakahanga dahil kahit ako hindi ko kayang gawin yun.
