"No

"No. nononono" the tables were scrambled, her belongings were scattered. She wandered her eyes over the wooden surface in front of her, the space that surrounded her- her bedroom. The girl groaned in frustration. She searched everywhere, yet it was nowhere to be found.

"Shit where did I put that thing?!" her fingers raked over every single area she could see. Saeron had currently lost her flash disk, a small device where she stored every assignment.

Eventually, her body gave in- throwing herself on the bed, stuffing her face on the pillow. She let out a muffled scream, her feet kicking the air in irritation. "Fuck. My. Life." she smacked her head with her pillow after each word.

"It better be in my locker," she sighed in defeat. She brushed her hair that covered her eyes- back to its place.

It's currently 11.23 pm, and again- she couldn't bring herself to sleep. Just like any other day, she grabbed her black leather jacket- just enough to keep her away from the cold, then silently sneaked out with her slippers on.

The night breeze that had hit her face wasn't as cold as the previous nights. It was more.. relaxing. The sound of water hitting its shore brought peace into her mind. She inhaled the cold winter air, producing smoke as she exhaled.

No, it's not safe for a teenage girl like her to roam around the streets of Seoul during this hour. But does she care? Definitely not. It's the only thing that could ease her anyway.

Yet her peaceful walk was interrupted by the sound of footsteps behind her. Saeron turned her head sideways- just enough to see with the corner of her eye. There stood a man in a black hoodie, a cap, and a mask covering his facial features.

She scanned the area, yet no one was around. Only the flickering lights could be seen- which was not that big of a help. Her woman instincts were starting to kick in, so she started fastening up her pace- just in case.

"it's okay, he's just out for a walk, like you." she tried coming up with a good reason, attempting to compress her negative thoughts away.

As expected, her steps were being followed by the pair behind, speeding up to her stride. Panic rushed through her veins- her breathing was becoming unstable.

Saeron brought her jacket closer to her body- the once soothing breeze, now turned painful as it pierced through her skin. She turned around the corner, in hopes of losing the figure that she assumed- has been following her.

She reached out to her pockets, patting them as she searched for the device she usually brought everywhere- only to be in contact with the leather of her own jacket. "Shit I left it!" she mentally facepalmed herself for not taking her phone with her.

Her escape from the suspicious guy has led her to a dark alley, the path only being lit by small lamps that dangled on strings hanging right above her. She stopped on her tracks, clutching herself to the cold wall behind her- the sound of feet pattering were becoming louder, implying how close it's getting.

Looking to her right was a wall, blocking her from running off. Going to her left is- a bad idea. It would just cause the man to see her from her not-so-safe hiding spot.

"I'm so stupid," she mumbled. She peeked her head around the wall to see him just meters away from her. Her head retreated to its place- looking straight to the wall in front of her, her blood rushing through her veins by tension.

"i'm going to die- no please i don't want to die this way-" her prayers were interrupted by an arm grabbing her harshly. Her breath hitched at the sudden impact, yet she tried to get off of his grasp. I repeat- tried.

Of course the man was stronger. He wrapped his arms around her neck from behind, using the other one to cover her mouth. He tried dragging her, but she kept trying to a herself free.

"Let me go!" she screamed, yet her voice was muffled by a hand that had covered her mouth. Saeron shut her eyes tight- tears prickling out of it. Her mind was blurred from anything she could think of. Only being filled with pure terror.

However, those self-defense classes she took didn't go to waste. She swung her elbow right at the man's gut- causing him to release his grasp on her. She took her chance to turn her body around- driving her knees towards his crotch. Shall I say, multiple times.

"Fuck. Your. Self." she panted in between her kicks.

Yeah, ouch.

She knew it wasn't safe for her not to run immediately. He might've strangled her right there and then, but her temper seemed to be short for now. She had let out all her anger on him, causing the man to groan continously as she knocked him off with no mercy.

She stopped her actions upon seeing the man all bloody and- well, unconscious. She hurried out of the alley but was taken to a halt when her eyes caught sight of a familiar figure in the distance, yet not that far from her.

He saw everything for sure and was left speechless. Saeron couldn't bring herself to say anything. Even if, the girl wouldn't be able to speak properly. Her brain was still in absolute shock.

"U-uh, I can explain?" she stuttered through her words- striding quickly towards him, her feet wobbling from the number of kicks she lent. Jisung coughed nervously, his feet slowly leading him backwards as she gets closer.

"N-no, no need to explain, " he managed to say- too stunned by what he just witnessed. Saeron pulled her hair back, unleashing a frustrated sigh. Her mind is clouded by thoughts of her getting arrested for what she just did. But to her luck, nobody saw the fiasco except him.

"Look Ji- please don't tell anyone about this. I was nearly kidnapped- and all I did was kick his ass I swear-"
"Mhm, great job."
"Why are you here anyway"
"Witnessing a murder"

Saeron sealed her eyes in annoyance. The fact that he saw everything- but didn't even try to help?

"First of all, I'm positive he's still alive. Second of all, you could've helped you know?"
"I was about to. But then I saw that, so I backed off."
"You're annoying"
"What? I could've gotten my ass killed by you if I didn't" the boy retorted.

"Whatever, " she lazily replied before walking past him. Jisung's eyes followed her figure as she strode further, looking back at the man she demolished. He watched him stumble upon his own feet, attempting to run- but failed as he fell on his knees continuously.

"You're just gonna leave him there?" he asked her, referring to the man. The dread she had was bad. Panic filled her eyes, biting her nails as she faced him again. "Can we go please? I'm fucking scared!" she whispered anxiously- but loud enough for him to hear. Jisung shrugged, walking towards her afterward.

"I'm telling your mom."
"Jisung- don't you dare"
