Byeol needs help

"Oppa! Someone needs to take me and you said you would!" Byeol whined into the speaker of her phone. Jaebeom sighed from the other side. "It's a last minute schedule, Moon. I can't cancel it. I'm sorry. Can't Yugyeom take you?" Byeol scrunched up her nose.

"He cannot. I don't need him to see me that way. Or in that position." She bit the inside of her cheek. "I'm not even going to argue about that right now. What about Mark? Or Jinyoung? There's literally 6 others you can ask." Byeol groaned and flopped back on to her bed.

"Jinyoung and Youngjae are filming for their new dramas. Mark went back with BamBam to Thailand to see his mom." JB sighed again. "Jackson?"

"Working on something for his company."

"You know he would drop it and come take you."

"I can't ask him to do that just like I can't ask you to cancel your schedule." Byeol sighed again and closed her eyes. Looks like she was alone today. "Well, you can't go alone."

"Why not?"

"You need. . .more support after your sessions. Your brain isn't all there when you've finished. You know that." Byeol groaned, ready to tear her hair out. "I'll be fine today I guess. I don't have a choice." JB mentioned some other things that she shot down and eventually she said goodbye and hung up.

She hated that this wasn't something she couldn't do on her own. She was a strong, tough gal. She went through hell and back on her own, why was this so hard? She knew JB was right. There was a reason he was picked as leader. He seemed to always know what was right. And what was right is that she couldn't go to her therapy sessions alone because she was always in a haze after.

She needed to cry it out or let JB drive them around to no where for a while after just for her to regroup and get herself together. Today though, that wasn't happening. She shoved her anxiety down and ordered herself an Uber. She wasn't a child and she could do this. She kept repeating that in her head the whole way to the office.

Of course, the one day she comes alone, she delved into the situation a lot deeper than she meant too. She was in a haze and honestly wasn't quiet sure how she was able to order herself a ride back home. She honestly didn't even remember getting in the car or walking into the apartment. She looked around and then it felt like everything crashed in around her.

The tears came down like waves and she fell on her knees, sobbing. She was glad Yugyeom was out wherever he was at because she didn't want him to see her like this. She didn't want any of them to see her like this. Being vulnerable wasn't something that came easy to her.

She was always known as the strong, tough girl that didn't take anything from anyone. She may not be the smartest, but she was the pillar of strength for them. For herself. But she hadn't been feeling like that lately, especially with these sessions getting more and more intense. She pulled her phone out, calling the first person her thumb landed on.

Right now, she didn't care who it was or where they were. She needed someone. She needed to feel safe. She needed someone to hold her, tell her that it was okay and that she is okay. JB was usually the one to utter those words to her amongst other things, but he wasn't here right now.

"Hello?" The voice on the other end answered and she felt herself let out a sob in relief. He answered. "I-I need you. P-please." She choked out and even though her mind wasn't in the right state, she could hear the panic in his voice. "Where are you?"

"Apartment."

"I'm on my way. Just hold on, Moon. I'll be right there."

How long she had been sitting on the ground, back pressed against the wall and sobbing Byeol had no clue. All she knew was the second she heard the beeping of the keypad and saw the large, blurry silhouette through her watery eyes, she threw herself at them.

She clutched on to his shirt like it was her life line and cried harder. He wasted no time in falling to the floor and cradling her in his lap. "It's okay, Moon. I'm here. You're okay now. Jaebeom told me what happened. Jackson is probably on his way." She buried her face into his chest, breathing in the familiar scent.

This was safe; this had always been safe. He was the one person outside of her members she had never had to worry about judging her. About thinking she was weak. "You should have called me, babo. I would have went with you." He said with slight humor to his voice. She mumbled something into his chest that he didn't quite catch.

"Come again?"

"I w-wanted to do it on m-my own. I t-th-thought I could. I didn't know that t-this was going to be s-so hard." He sighed, placing a hand on the back of her head and massaging her scalp gently. "That's what I'm here for, baby. Since we were trainees. All of us. You should have called."

She didn't say anything, crying out all that was left in her before it was reduced to a few sniffles here and there. "Hey, look at me." He grabbed her chin with his forefinger and thumb, lifting her face to meet his gaze. She found nothing but love and concern there. "Shownu. . ." she breathed, wrapping her arms tighter around his neck.

He chuckled, blushing slightly. "You're one of the strongest people I know, Moon. And highly independent. No one can refute that. But even the strongest need some extra help sometimes. Call me, always. I'll be right here." She couldn't help but lightly place her lips against his.

It was only a quick peck before she pulled away, eyes wide and cheeks a deep crimson. Shownu's face mimicked hers and she jumped off his lap as the beeping for the keypad was heard once again. "SYHUK MOON! BYEOL-AH!" She groaned at Jackson's loud voice.

"Why didn't you call me?! I would have been able to come! Are you stupid?! C'mere!" He pulled her into his chest, still scolding her but she knew it was just because he was worried. And possibly a tad upset that she had opted not to call him. "I didn't want to bother you," she said though it was muffled by his chest.

He scoffed, rolling his eyes and pulling her away. "You never bother me! It keeps Hyunwoo from having to run over here every time and play knight in shining armor!" Byeol sucked in her bottom lip as Shownu just offered a small smile. His cheeks were still slightly red. "I don't mind, really."

"Look, Moon! You made him rush over here so fast that his cheeks are still red!" Byeol felt her cheeks heat up even more and she couldn't make eye contact with anyone. She was embarrassed with herself. She shouldn't have called anyone. She would have been fine.

"Yah," Jackson said softly, brown orbs meeting hers. "Just, lean on us sometimes too, okay?" She nodded, offering him a teary grin and she kissed her forehead. He turned to thank Shownu and before she could bite her tongue, she asked Shownu to stay for lunch. The guy ran all the way here for her, the least she could do was feed him.

He said yes and whilst her, Jackson and Shownu sat around the table eating their food and Jackson talking animatedly; Shownu had grabbed her hand under the table, thumb gently rubbing the back of her hand.

It stayed like that until they got up.
