Deep in the Everfree Forest, a male blue earth pony groaned awake, hearing shuffling around him. "Ow... What happened?" He questioned, opening his teal green eyes and glancing around, scanning his surroundings. This pony's name was Ludger Kresnik and he belonged to his world---Ethea, not the dreary colors of wherever he was. He lifted his head from the ground, his white messy mane was slightly dirty from the ground, confused. "Where am I?" He was in a forest, that much he knew.

The forest looked dark and menacing as if someone or something was watching him from the shadows. The trees were dark brown, almost black, and they were twisted in weird angles with very dark green leaves. The shadows behind the dark green bushes seemed like a dark void that went on forever.

Cautiously, he stood up but fell face-first onto the ground. "Ow! Geez! Did I forget how to stand already?" Confused, he sat up, lifting his right hand, only to look at it in shock. "What the!?" His hand was now a hoof instead. Curious, he inspected his body, finding himself to be some sort of animal with blue fur. Seeing that I have hooves, I'm probably a horse...? Am I... in another world... like Akari explained...?

Upon thinking her name, an image of a young woman appeared in his mind; long brown chestnut hair, sapphire blue eyes that rivaled the ocean, wearing an outfit that was not of his world---a gray tank top, a black and blue jacket with three-quarter sleeves, a black pleated skirt, and black one-inch heeled sandals. Her smile was as bright as the light she carried within her heart. She wasn't from his world but from another and she was an entirely different being than himself. She was still human, only she had certain abilities and magic that were foreign to each and every world she visited. She protected a sacred land that was almost equal to the Land of Canaan---an astral plane of existence that was only inhabited by two Great Spirits---Origin, the Great Spirit of the Void and Reincarnation, and Chronos, the Great Spirit of Time.

He blushed a little, remembering about his fiance, vaguely wondering where or how she was.

The last he saw of her was before... he sacrificed himself...

His expression turned to one of sorrow and guilt. I wonder how she took... my decision? He couldn't dwell on it for too long as the bushes suddenly began to rustle with movement which alerted him.

Growling was heard coming from the shadows, sounding like a canine of some sorts.

Ludger tried once more to stand up, on all fours this time. He was wobbly for a moment, but he took a deep breath, concentration on staying stable while still alert of the enemy. He was silent as the growling grew closer.

Suddenly, the enemies came out; however, Ludger was bewildered at its appearance. The creatures were all made of wood and took on the appearance of wolves with piercing golden eyes.

"What sort of monsters are there?" He questioned as he took a step back with his left hind leg. He then realized that he had none of his weapons. Even if I did, I don't think I'd be able to use them... He quickly thought as he tried to figure out which leg to move in order to step back. He seemed to choose wrong and stumbled backwards, landing on the ground.

The wolves saw that their prey was vulnerable and lunged forward, ready to kill him.

He saw them coming, "Crap!" He closed his eyes and waited to be killed once again; however, it never came.

"BLIZZARD!"

He snapped his eyes open, finding that voice to be familiar, witnessing three sharp icicles soar through the air and dismantle the wolves into a pile of branches. He then turned his head over to where the familiar voice sounded to find a tall silver mare with a flowing brown mane, tail, and sapphire eyes.
