Day turned to night as the train from Ponyville arrived at the Crystal Empire.
As the ponies walked through the crystallized city for Twilight's first royal summit, everypony grew excited, wondering what would go on in this royal event.
Twilight, however, was more nervous and anxious, having to attend the summit as an alicorn princess now. She kept wondering what she would need to do, not realizing that Spike was staring in awe at the crystal statue of him holding the crystal heart, signifying his victory of delivering the heart from the top hidden chamber of the crystal castle. She was brought out of her thoughts by Applejack.
"Ain't this excitin', Twilight? Your first princess summit." The orange pony smiled, staring at the crystal palace.
"Yes, it is a bit exciting..." Twilight answered, before adding. "But it's also very nerve-racking."
"You're 'nervicited'!" Pinkie exclaimed, getting in the young alicorn's face. "It's like you want to jump all around and scream 'YAY ME!'." She began bouncing up and down to express what reaction Twilight "would" have felt. She then dropped to the ground and curled up in a fetal position. "But you also want to curl up in a tiny ball and hide at the same time!" She then stood up, making a faint metallic sound as if she were a robot.
Ludger simply could not figure out how Pinkie Pie worked, yet he still heeded Sora's warning to never question whatever the pink party pony did. Now that he remembered, he had yet to be given his welcome party as she promised. He thought about it for a moment before shrugging, following his fiancé.
Ignoring Pinkie, everypony continued on their way until Rarity noticed something, gasping loudly.
She ran up to Twilight, grabbing her face in her hooves. "Twilight! You aren't wearing your crown!" She exclaimed. "You didn't lose it, did you?"
Twilight glanced at the small travel bag, praying that no one had noticed. "It's in my bag." She got out of the fashionista's grasp. "I'm still a little self-conscious about wearing it. That..." She then flared out her wings. "And I haven't gotten used to these wings yet either." She tried to fold them back in, but couldn't, finding it difficult. "How come you, Akari, and Sora got so used to your wings when you came here, Riku?"
"... I didn't really think about it." Riku plainly said, flexing his white wings, showing no sign of difficulty.
"I believe it's just natural for us?" Sora suggested, "We adapt to every world we go to. Well, I did at least. Instinct just kicks in, granting us access to our new bodies."
"It's the same with Akari's and my unicorn magic." Kairi joined in, lighting up her horn with white for a moment. "It's a bit strange... yet it feels as though I've used it even before coming here."
Akari nodded, briefly flexing her own wings open and then lighting up her horn with light yellow magic. "We just have natural control is all. Besides, I've been to this world before, so I've had practice with them."
"I guess I'm just so unlucky enough to learn at a slower pace." Twilight struggled once more to fold her wings, only to get more frustrated. "You know what, I'm done dealing with them." She gave up on her attempt and continued walking, her wings dragging on the ground. "And I thought reading pegasi anatomy would help." She mumbled to herself.
Akari chuckled, "You'll eventually get used to them with practice, I'm sure." She then levitated her wings, lifting them off the ground, so they wouldn't get dirty anymore. "Try relaxing your muscles." She advised.
The purple pony stopped walking, taking the older pony's advice. She took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, her wings slowly lessened enough to fold back.
