Chapter 31: Caught Naked

"Dad, I'm going now," I said as I take my bag and ran out of the house.

"Be home safe." I heard him shout after I shut the door. Earlier this day, I agreed to accompany Ja Rim to Joo Young's house and wait for him.

Having reached her house, I texted Ja Rim and told her I was already outside. It took her a couple of minutes to be out and we went straight to Joo Young's. Doing so, we met Kyung Min and Kyung Woo standing.

When my eyes landed on him, I found myself biting my lower lip probably wanting to stop me from smiling. He had his bangs cut, where we could finally see his eyes properly.

"You cut your hair?" Ja Rim asked him in shock. Kyung Woo answered with a nod before looking at me.

"You look... better." I tried to throw a compliment after meeting his gaze.

"I know, Honestly, it looked like he went through puberty." Kyung Min butted in.

"Why are you two here? Gong Joo isn't out yet?" Ja Rim asked them, changing the topic.

"No, not yet." Kyung Min replied.

"Ok, so why haven't you gone to school?" Kyung Min replied that he was there to return his game console.

"But what's taking him so long." I sighed looking up his apartment.

"Hey, sorry. Something came up." Kyung Woo pats Kyung Min and nodding at us. "I'll go first."

"Oh... okay." I waved as I watch him leave. The inner me wanting to go as well but Kyung Min was here and I couldn't risk anyone else knowing. I was that obvious in the past, I shouldn't continue doing that.

"Should we go inside and check on him?" Kyung Min asked us after an awkward silence that I didn't notice was there. We both agreed and started making our way to his apartment.

Putting in his passcode, we entered it. Unlike the noisy Joo Young, however, we were greeted with pure silence and Joo Young was nowhere to be seen.

"What's this? Where is he?" Kyung Min asked. Just then, Joo Young came out of the bathroom with a towel on his hair. I caught his upper half-naked and immediately looked away not wanting to see anything else.

Before anything could be said, I heard Joo Young shout and heard a door closing probably running back to the bathroom.

"W-we'll get going first." Ja Rim stuttered dragging me out of the house.

"Did you see something?" She asked me when we were already outside and walking down the stairs.

I shook my head in response and we both rushed to the bus station in silence.

I sat at Ah Ram's chair waiting for the bell to ring as I watch Ja Rim in deep thought. Throughout the entire morning, we two were awfully doing our best to avoid eye contact or exchange a conversation relating to what happened earlier in the day. I heard laughter erupt breaking us both from our thoughts and look up to see Kyung Min laughing at us.

"I can't stop thinking about it. It's driving me crazy."

"Go crazy at your seat," I commanded but he instead stood in front of me.

"Yah, isn't it weird that you saw your best friend's boyfriend's d-." He sniffled laugher.

"I did not." I stood up not wanting him to finish the sentence and pushed him to his seat before leaving the classroom not wanting to see Kyung Min laugh. Just when I thought I could breathe again, I met Joo Young at the entrance of the door and I immediately rushed to my seat ignoring him.
