3rd Person POV

"I love you," said a crying heartbroken Sirius, the love of his life just broke up with him

"No you don't."

"What are you talking about, of course I do Moony "

"Well you shouldn't."

"What do you mean I shouldn't."

"I'm a monster, there is no reason for you to love me."

"You are no monster. You are sweet and kind and funny and adorable and selfless and fucking gorgeous. Those are all reasons I should, and do love you."

"No, I am a monster, it's better this way. This way I can't hurt you."

"Bloody hell, do you not realize that you just broke me?"

"I'm sorry."

"I don't care."

"You don't want to be with me. You could never be happy with me."

"I am happy with you, or at least, I was before you did this. You don't get to decide how I feel and whether or not I want to be with you. Just because you hate yourself, doesn't mean I hate you."

"I'm sorry," whispered the crying werewolf.

"I don't care," yelled the boy, "Just get out!"

"Bu-"

"I SAID GET OUT," Sirius said screaming now, tears rolling down his cheeks.

Fast forward one week

Ever since the breakup Sirius has only left his bed to go to class. He hasn't talked to anyone and he barely eats anything. The fact that he lives with Remus isn't helping with his heartbreak. Remus on the other hand is trying to act like nothing happened despite being extremely sad. That made Sirius even more sad."

"Hey Pads, we're going to dinner, you coming?"

No response.

"Okay, bye. Come on Wormtail."

Fast forward an hour

"Hey Padfoot, we're back. We got you some food."

Then Remus walks into the room.

"We'll leave you two alone," said Peter before he and James left the room.

"Hey Pads," said Remus.

"Sirius."

"What?"

"My name is Sirius."

"Oh... look can we talk?"

No response

"I wanted to ask if we could be friends."

No response.

"Please just talk to me, Siri."

"Sirius."

"Please Sirius."

"You're kidding right."

"What do you mean?"

"You broke my heart a week ago and now you are asking to be friends?"

"We'll yeah."

"No."

"Oh... can I at least say I'm sorry."

"Good for you."

"Come on, give me a break, I thought it would help."

"No, I don't think you understand what you did. I love you. I love you so much it hurts, and where did that get me? I'm broken now Remus, you did that, not me."

"I'm sorry, please, I can't not have you in my life."

"I can't be your friend, not after everything."

"But we were friends before."

"Yeah we were, but now I know what it's like to be with you, I can't go back. It would be too painful. I love you too much."

"I love you too," says Remus while walking towards Sirius.

"Stop. Don't say that to me."

"But it's true."

"It doesn't matter anymore. Or did you already forget that you broke up with me because of your own self loathing."

"That's not fair."

"No, you know what's not fair? Having the love of your life break up with you because he hates himself, even though there isn't a single thing you hate about him."

"You shouldn't love me."

"How many times am I going to have to tell you that it doesn't matter what you think. I love you Remus Lupin, and there is nothing you could ever do to change that."

"Screw it," was the last thing Remus said before kissing his love. But instead of kissing back Sirius pulled away.

"Wait, does this mean we are back together?"

"Yes."

"Okay, in that case," and then he kissed him.

"Oi, when you two are done snogging come down to the common room, it's been way too long since we pranked snivellus."
