It was a beautiful night on the jermitcraft server, there were no clouds in sight, only the purples, blues and blacks of the sky and the stars, which illuminated the dark sky, making a perfect scene for Sampulse and Skythos date. "Did you know that-'' Sampulse said, getting cut off by their communicators pinging with the emergency sound, she frowned, Looking down at the message to see what was going on, it read "<Xee> Everyone, please be careful and grab your weapons, I've just been informed by Jerroc (Who is in fact, fine) That there are these people who call themselves "Balancers'' roaming around the server, They are here to kill one of us, If you encounter one, Knock them out or Kill them if you need to, Try and get towards another jermit if your alone, I will ping everyone again when I kick them out (or they finish their job...)"
As Sampulse and Skytho watched as all the messages from the jermits came through, they realised they were the only ones this far away from everyone else, and they had *one* weapon if they did happen to encounter a 'Balancer' which only spelt trouble for them, Skytho typing out "Me and Sampulse are together rn, although we are basically unarmed at the moment" and sending it, watching as a large chunk of the jermits messaged them things along the lines of "please stay safe" and after that they closed their communicators, hastily packing up everything they had taken on their date into a bag and then running down the hill until Skytho heard a shriek from behind them, it could only be one person, 'Sampulse' they realised turning around with their kunai in hand and dropping the bag, just in time to see a Cloaked figure rushing towards them
The fight that ensued between the two was like a fast-paced dance, moving down the hill, as they made jabs towards each other, dodging the bladed weapons that came swinging towards them as they did until, Skytho made a wrong move, watching in fear as their kunai was knocked out of their hand, sliding away into a bush "Looks like I win" The cloaked figure spoke, their voice sounding deep, and slightly crackling like static, moving towards Skytho slowly, holding their knife in a tight grip, until a blur of white and grey sped towards them "YOU'RE NOT GOING TO HURT THEM" Sampulse shouted, Pushing Skytho out of the way "IF YOU'RE GOING TO HURT ANYONE HERE HURT ME" she held out her arms as she spoke, seeming to accept her fate "Very well then." The Balancer smirked, taking their knife "SAMPULSE NO-" Skytho yelled reaching towards the girl but she was too late. -and plunging it directly into Sampulse's stomach "Looks like our job here is done" the balancer said, watching as Sampulse collapsed onto the dark green grass below them
Skytho's world *shattered*. "Sampulse why..." Skytho asked the shorter, as she tried to laugh but started coughing instead, choosing to smile as a substitute "I'd much rather it be me lying here then you" "I-'' Skytho tried to speak, but couldn't, clouded by the sadness that overtook them beginning to cry, "It's okay," Sampulse said softly, feeling her blood seep into the ground below her, realising her death is unavoidable, they sat in silence for a moment, taking everything in until Sampulse spoke up "if you wanna see me, better hurry" she looked up at the sky, watching the stars shine and sparkle, Making Skytho move towards her, "Cause I'm leaving soon" "Im so sor-" Skytho tried to say before getting cut off by Sampulse "Sorry can't change what happened," she said, giving Skytho a soft smile.
They sighed, "I just... don't want to lose you Sampulse..." "You won't... I'll always be there, as long as you want me to be, that is" Sampulse responds looking up to Skytho, noticing the tears rolling down their cheeks as her breathing starts to slow down, "I guess this is it huh?..." Sampulse says, "Before you die, I just... wanna say I love you... So much..." Skytho says, looking down at Sampulse who smiles softly, lifting her hand up and resting it on Skythos face, using her thumb to wipe away some of the tears "I will always love you... My sky..." Sampulse says, Skytho watching in despair as she willingly closed her eyes, taking her final breath as the hand that was on her face a mere few seconds ago, goes limp and drops back down to the ground with the rest of her body
"I'll always love you too..."
