As you can read in the title this is gonna be a Luna Lovegood x reader story. However just cause I write it from a male pov doesn't mean you can't read from a female perspective. Firstly I want to adress that I kinda have to warn you as I am writing...
I walked around King's Cross Station searching for my cousin (C/n) who was one year older than me and already a student in Hogwarts. He was a Gryffindor and couldn't wait to spend time with me around Hogwarts. I remembered our time at our grandparents as we lived there together with them so he was like a big brother to me who I know I can turn to if something's wrong. Still he wasn't here to show me where platform 9 3/4 was and I got kinda annoyed now as the train would depart in twenty minutes. I was watching over our luggage and my small white baby kitten called Aurora in her cage.

"Yo (Y/n)!" I heard from behind
I turned around to see my cousin (C/n) smiling at me. "I'm sorry that piss took so long." He said to me
"I didn't even want that information (C/n)." I said kinda disgusted
"It is right here!" He said excitedly as we were in between platform 9 and 10
"Haha very funny (C/n)." I said in a sarcastic way. "You clearly are taking the piss but now is not the time for jokes as our train departs in 10 minutes."
"Nah I'm dead serious just follow me!" He said as I looked at him as he ran straight into a stone pillar between the two platforms.
I was dumbfounded. How did he do that? I grew up around magic but I didn't know you had to walk through a wall to get to Hogwarts. So I made up my mind and sprinted into the same stone pillar as (C/n) and came out on a different plattform which had platform 9 3/4 engraved on it on a sign above the platform.
"(Y/n) over here!" I heard a familiar voice call me. Of course it was my cousin who now had a winning grin on his face cause he proved me wrong. "I can't believe you didn't trust me! Me the most trustworthy person on the platform!" He exclaimed with a "hurt" and shocked look as he hold his hand over his heart.
"Yeah yeah you won. Now let's go in the train before it leaves without us." I said as we were entering the Hogwarts express. "And don't just leave me alone understood? I don't know anyone besides you."
"Yeah about that one... I have to go and meet my friends however you are always the social and talkative person. Relax and meet some new people who you can be friends with. You need those at Hogwarts" (C/n) said and leaving me there baffled.
'Great now I have to socialize with people I don't know a thing about. Well I should start looking for a compartment with friendly looking people in it' I thought to myself
As the train was moving for five minutes I saw a compartment with only two people in it. A girl and a boy. The boy had short brown hair, brown eyes, glasses and was a bit taller than the average and was silently reading 'Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them' by Newt Scamander. To his left was a cage with a barn owl in it. The girl had long blonde slightly curled hair and brown eyes and was excitedly watching out of the window the surroundings and scenery.
"Ehm can I sit here?" I asked quite sheepishly as I didn't knew these kids. The brown haired boy nodded but didn't speak up. The girl however turned around excitedly and smiled at me like she hasn't seen a friend for ages and said: "Of course you can! I love meeting new people!"
"Well I do too! But I kinda get nervous if I don't know anyone around a place which is here the case." I said while feeling a bit embarrassed.
"Oh It's fine really. I am Sarah Robinson. Nice to meet you!" she exclaimed while grinning at me like a little child
'Oh wow she has so much energy in her it's amazing how she doesn't overload with it. She and the boy are complete opposites' I thought to myself. "I am (Y/n) (L/n). Pleasure to meet you!" I said grinning back at her.
"Tim. Tim Davies. Nice to meet you." He put the book down and introduced himself silently to me as if he were embarrassed to meet anyone. "And this is Owlbert Einstein" He said to me as he pointed towards his barn owl.
"This is Aurora my little kitten. I hope we three can become good friends and will be there for each other." I said smilling at both of them as they smiled back at me. I sat beside Sarah as the seat beside Tim was taken by Owlbert.
After having fun for a bit and really getting along we knew we were going to be best friends at Hogwarts. Even if we ended up in different houses. Tim returned to reading his book and listen more than speak actually. As for Sarah. She constantly asked excitedly and energetic "Did you see that?!" While looking out of the window and and looking at the landscape "I would love to step around there and take all the time I want and do anything I want!" "Yes that would be quite nice" I agreed. After a while a bushy brown haired girl came into our compartment and asked us in a bossy tone if we have seen a toad named Trevor as an acquaintance of her called Neville Longbottom lost his one. As we shook our heads she left. However, Tim was scared of her and was relieved when she left, as her bossy tone made him really anxious. 'Poor Tim' Was all I could think of.
