The duo headed into the Ancient Ruins, and found a few Abyssal Cultists. They all challenged Ash to a battle, but Ash easily beat them with a few Thunderbolts. When they reached the chamber, they found a few smaller ruins, and Ash found a Shiny Delta Geodude, and caught it easily. Then, they reached the main chamber, and they found a few Abyssal Cultists harassing a Riolu.
Ash and Serena fought all the cultists, and the Riolu's mother came out and Mega Evolved, scaring the cultists away. The Lucario gave Ash a Lucarionite and a Key stone, while Ash's 2 Riolus evolved. The Lucario also gave Ash a Delta Lucarionite, allowing Ash to Mega evolve his Lucarios. Ash then headed over to the Cyan Cavern, heading over to the First Gym. Ash and Serena had a hard time navigating through the cave, and finally arrived in Suntouched City. Ash was talking to Nurse Joy about healing Pokemon, when a few Darkrai Cultists appeared.
