The thin blinds of the bedroom did nothing to conceal the bright morning sunlight. Shining with pride, the sun shone right into the eyes of a tired and exhausted male.

A groan filled the room as he pulled the duvet off his half-naked body, exposing his torso to the freezing air.

Pushing himself up, Tanaka felt a wave of dizziness overcome him, distorting his surroundings. Once his vision had returned to normal, the sight of papers filled his view.

The bald male's room was simple yet it suited him.

An unorganized desk sat in the middle of the room, parallel to the door while his messy bed had been placed in the opposite corner of the room. A bookshelf and draws were pushed against the wall and laying there.

Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, Tanaka instinctively sniffs the air, the smell of bacon and fresh bread filling his senses. It was a familiar smell that he awoke to most mornings yet it would never be something he would get used to.

Groaning once again, the grey eyes male stood up, another wave of dizziness overcoming him before slowly making his way out of his room and into the kitchen still in his boxers.

The kitchen was small but big enough to fit a group of four. Today Kinoshita and Narita seemed to be cooking, well Kinoshita was cooking bacon and Narita was leaning on him, giving his boyfriend a morning hug.

Barfing noises escaped Tanaka in an attempt to mock the couple that had the audacity to be so lovey-dovey right in front of him.

"Oh morning" the dusty haired male laughed at his friends attempt to mock him.

"Morning, mind toning down the PDA?"
"Nope," Narita replied simply, seemingly gripping onto Kinoshita even tighter than before.

The three of them had met a few years back as fresh high school graduates, all looking for a place to share. After Tanaka got lucky and found a four-bedroom house to rent, the three of them moved in, then met their final roommate who had the tendency to sleep in.

Excusing himself from the kitchen, Tanaka trudged back to his room, rummaging through his clothes before finally finding his work outfit. A basic pale blue button-up tee and some navy pants. It was plain and simple, perfect for not being noticed in the office.

Snatching his laptop and a light jacket Tanaka dumped it into a bag before striding out of his room, ready for the workday.

"Have you guys seen Su-"

The bald male was interrupted by the sudden comment from their fourth roommate.

"I've been waiting for you for ages, hurry up, let's go"

Sugawara. He was a nice guy, often quite loud but respectful and made sure the chores around the house had all been done, disliked being late.

"Y-yes sir" Tanaka stuttered, honestly feeling a bit of fear with the murderous expression the elder one was wearing on his face.

With no other words, the pair walked out of the house, waving goodbye to Kinoshita and Narita who were still lazily getting ready. Walking down the street, Tanaka and Sugawara quickened their pace to a comfortable brisk walk.

After turning a few corners here and there, the pair had finally finished their daily commute to work and were no standing right outside the police station. Sighing as the cool air conditioning hit his face, Tanaka walked right up to the front desk, his friend in quick pursuit.

"Tanaka, how are you today?" the desk worker, Yachi, asked in her usual friendly tone.

"Good, how about you?"

"Just the usual, though I did meet up with a cute girl yesterday, she's a bit older than me though" the younger girl flashed a smile before returning to her work as Tanaka signed himself in.

Turning around, the bald male released what was his third groan this morning as he was met with another lovey-dovey couple, this time Sugawara and Daichi. Despite Tanaka getting them together and setting them up, he couldn't help but want to gag at how cute they acted around each other.

Just as Suga started placing small, sweet kisses all over Daichi's face, the grey eyes male decided he had enough of the icky romance going on between those two as he headed to a small desk inside an office room. Not before poking a bit of fun at the officer.

"Make sure you actually do your job officer"

The bald male-only sniggered before slinking into his small office space and opening his laptop, readying himself for the days work ahead of him.
