Loudly tapping away at the keyboard, Tanaka had found himself back at his desk in his office, the memories of the past night a blur. Yet even with the overload of new information about 'the homicide poet' the bald male couldn't focus.

His stormy grey eyes filled with worry and he continuously glanced up at the clock, tapping anxiously away at his desk.

Time seemed to pass slowly, dragging on, as if wanting to make every second he waited torture.

12:45

The clock hit the golden number, the time Tanaka left to go to his usual cafe every day, except this time there was a reason for being so excited.

Ennoshita... if this wasn't a set-up, then the bald male had struck gold. Grabbing his stuff and shoving it into his bag, the stormy eyed male wasted no time in rushing out the door, saying a prompt goodbye to Yachi who opened her mouth to speak but thought better of it.

Nerves jumbled up in his stomach, just as they had many times before. It was such a new and strange sensation. Those small flutters he felt in his stomach, like a schoolgirl with a crush.

Letting out a sigh of relief as he came to the familiar cafe, he couldn't help but smile as Ennoshita's sturdy frame came into view, he was looking down at his phone, seemingly to pass the time.

Just as Tanaka expected, the small fluttering he felt in his stomach kicked up again, wanting to get up and escape their cage, yet unable to find any escape.

"Hey" the brown-haired boy stuttered.

Tanaka waited a moment, taking in his date's outfit. He was wearing a white graphic t-shirt and some loose jeans with a cute gummy bear chain attached which the bald male found adorable.

"Sorry for being late"

"Don't be sorry! I was doing some errands anyway" the brown-haired male flashed a small smile, showing that everything was fine.

Quickly batting off the ever-growing nerves, Tanaka quickly followed up on the conversation "Hey, wanna go in?"

All Ennoshita had to do was grab his hand and start dragging both of them into the familiar and homely cafe to get an answer.

Being this close to Ennoshita's body, Tanaka couldn't help but take the heavy smell of his cologne, it was strong, almost overwhelming. There was no need for someone to smell that strong unless they really reeked.

Shrugging it off, Tanaka returned to reality as he watched his date swipe their card, finalising the transaction.

"WHA- No I should have paid" the bald male screeched.

"You can pay next time, remember, I said that I would take you on a date" the brown-haired male emphasized the 'you' part, trying to convince the bald male to drop it and let him pay.

"But-"

"No buts, come on let's find a table"

Being dragged once again, Tanaka found himself sitting across from what he considered the most beautiful man he had ever seen, but not only was he beautiful on the outside, he was on the inside. The bald male couldn't comprehend how lucky he was.

"Here's your order" the loud and obnoxious voice of Nishinooya filled the cafe as he made his way over to their table.

"So~ Ryu wanna tell me who this is," the small male said with a cocky smirk

"U-Uhm, this is my date" the bald male mumbled, slightly embarrassed by the sudden recognition.

"What, you never told me-"

"Go do your job barista-boy," Tanaka said jokingly, pushing his friend away slightly.

"Fine fine, make sure to stay safe," Noya said with a wink, meaning his words in more ways than one.

Sitting there feeling defeated, Tanaka flopped his head into his arms, fortunately missing the food.

"I'm so sorry" he groaned an apology, wishing a black hole would just eat him up right there.

"Don't be, a lot of my friends would be like that as well?" Ennoshita said, sneaking his hand under the table to grab his date's hand while a smirk crossed his face "So, what do you think he meant?"

So my school starts tomorrow, I would be lying if I said I was excited. I'm gonna try update daily, whether that be on this story or some of my others, but please be patient. It'll take me some time to adjust to my new school routine but I'll figure it out!
