Risking Her Identity

LIA'S P.O.V

*Gyeongsang, South Korea
Sunday — 7:36 A.M

The sun could have been earlier to rise today but decided to take a longer nap in the west, shooting me an opportunity to sneak in the back door while thinking they're still asleep in this hotel. Probably not, considering our leader has been more alert and critically strict to us nowadays. My gaze snapped at the key card Yuna entrusted me with yesterday

My roommate is Yeji— Just great! Heaving a long sigh, I unlocked the door and slightly left it ajar, enough for me to peek my head in the small crack. I wander my vision around the small room and saw no sign of the Killer Cat. Could have been more wrong with my hunch

"I heard you gave that cucumber a pendant." I instantly jerked backwards when I heard her voice close to my left profile, "You almost send me your condolences if I had a heart attack!" I exclaimed, placing a hand on my racing heartbeat. Apparently, I'm more of a scaredy cat than Chaer

"But you didn't. Now answer me, did you have your pendant to that ten buildings tall guy?" I flicked my tongue inside my cheek and welcomed myself first in the room, "I did, it's for his own protection anyway." I supplied an answer, collapsing in the hotel mattress in pure bliss

"And he's not ten buildings tall. We're all just short compared to him." I added in my torpid state

She clicked the door shut, snorting at my remark, "Oh, wow! Now you're vouching for him. Tell me honestly, are you falling for that guy?" Something must have tinged within me when I blindly grasped for an object and propelled it to her

Fortunately, it was just a plastic plate, "Don't get me started with that topic. I thought we'll talk about those two Shins after they fought." I obviously diverted the topic, not wanting to narrate everything to her, it's quite the hassle. She took me by surprise when her lips curved into a teasing smile

"They did fought with verbal communication but they sort it out last week. Still not good as new but they'll hang around." Ah shit! Wrong move!

"You're distracted, huh? You can't be when we're about to plan our next moves." My lips quirked up in embarrassment, "Why are you distracted for, eh?" I buried my face with my hands, pretending I didn't hear for the first time
