Ode to Maturity

Not just to maturity,

Do I give extolation,

But to this gift in common youth,

This rare, relieving hope

No longer I need wonder how,

Connected mind and tongue,

Make to fall a sorrowful rain,

Wept for humanity

This perfect light illuminates,

The strongest bridges built,

Worth the effort in maintaining,

Some relevant words with few

Though silence and solitude,

And some illusion made,

At least enough to think ahead,

Or see where gaps may fill

Not just to maturity,

But to its place in me,

In case I risk some arrogance,

And honor paradox
