Timeskip 1 hour:

As promised, you had brought Annie into the tower for they guys who didn't get to hold her the first time she came for a visit to the beach to finally have some 'baby time' as they called it, and for Maxi to top up on his.

"Annie, I've got agreements with your brothers saying that they will prank your mummy and daddy for me and I've got another contract here if you want to sign..." Maxi told her before revealing a very proffessional and sophisticated looking document. You had to say you were impressed by the amount of effort he must have put into making it.

"She's one week old Maxi, she can hardly stay awake for more than five minutes at a time let alone carry out pranks for you!" You laughed.

"They underestimate you young one, but I know your true potential." He whispered with a devious tone to his voice. Annie obviously paid no atttention to her juvenile 'uncle' s words and continued to stare wondrously at his face.

"You are so good with her Maxi. Also, I've been meaning to ask you, did team Reid win the prank war because the last installment, if I'm remembering correctly, involved you getting petrified by snakes..." You enquired.

It had been ages since there had been any pranking occurring within the lifeguards and you hated to admit that you missed it. It was almost like a tradition within the service to prank each other- especially trainees or new comers.

"Oh I wouldn't count your winnings just yet Marls...." He replied, grinning as his eyes followed a figure outside the tower; a figure you quickly came to recognise as your husband.

"Prepare to witness something amazing little miss Reid, this is called a prank." Maxi told the still unfazed infant as her father entered the room- returning from a coffee run.

"Hutz do you think you could grab the jacket out of the top locker nearest to the backdoor please." He requested after Harrison had placed the drinks down on the desk.

"Sure, yours has the shark sticker on the shoulder doesn't it?" Harrison asked, heading for the locker.

Maxi was about to reply when you heard a loud crash followed by a splash and Harrison making an unusually high noise.

"Trent Maxwell..." Your husband almost seethed before he appeared, drenched from his neck to his feet. You couldn't help but join Maxi in laughter and you could tell that Harrison found it amusing as well, even if he was soaked.

"Hey Marley, could you take the baby so I can run away as fast as possible." Maxi questioned, already placing your daughter in your arms.

"Sure, may the odds be ever in your favor Maxi."

He proceeded to sprint out of the tower as quick as humanly possible but just as Harrison was about to follow, you chucked him a bottle of water.

"Thanks baby." He smiled before bolting after his best friend.

You watched as the two lifeguards chased eachother along the sand before Harrison succeeded and poured the entire bottle over Maxi's head.

"And this Annie, this is what we call a prank backfiring."
