Stormy days

We all played with the sleeping babies for a while. The doctor came in and sewed me up. Everyone left and Derek and I were in the room alone. Derek took my iv out and bandaged me.

"Hey they have your hair" he said pointing at both the boys light brown hair

"I know" I smiled

They look more like me, but I can see a lot of Derek in them.

Lucas started crying

"Switch" he said and I handed him Dominic.

He handed me Lucas and I pulled my gown down a little. Lucas latched on immediately. Dominic was still asleep, I have no idea how he didn't wake up. Then we heard a loud bang. The lights went out

"Um Derek" I said nervously

"I have no idea" he said and pulled out his phone

He turned his light on.

"Here" he said and handed me sleeping Dominic

He left.

Lizzie and Kathleen came in with their flashlights

"Hey Mer are you doing ok" they asked standing by me

"No" I said truthfully

"Have you guys talked to Dylan" I asked

"Yes I did my husband FaceTimed us and Dylan's doing fine. He loves the snow, so he keeps opening the door and grabbing inches of snow then throws them at his cousins" Lizzie said as she started laughing

I started laughing. Lucas fell asleep on my and I took him off my boob. I wrapped him tighter.

"Can we hold them" they asked

"Please" I said

Lizzie took Dominic and Kathleen took Lucas. Amelia walked in and looked at her sisters holding the babies. She looked at me and walked over with her flashlight. She sat down next to me and whispered

"Hey Mer you doing alright" she asked

"Yes thanks" I said

"Do you want to rest" she asked

"I would love to" I said relaxing

She got up

"We should let her sleep" she said to her sisters

They all got up and took the babies out. I rolled over and went to sleep. I woke up and felt someone spooning me. I rolled over to look. It was Derek. I put my hand on his face and caressed his cheek. He opened his eyes slightly. He put his forehead on mine. It was still super dark.

"Hey the kids are with my sisters" he said

I didn't say anything

He leaned in and kissed my lips

"We should rest more" I yawned

"Yes let's do that" he said

He pulled me tighter into his chest. His chin was on my head and we fell asleep.

I woke up to a crying noise.

"Hey sorry" Amelia said

"I think they're hungry" she said with both the boys.

Derek got up and shined his flashlight on her. He took Lucas and they both came over to me. They handed me both the boys and Amelia sat down on the couch. The boys started eating immediately. Derek sat next to Amelia and they started talking about stuff.

"Well your children are born five days before Christmas" she laughed

They both started laughing.

The boys fell asleep mid eating.

"So what's happening outside" I asked

They both looked at me

"Well you can travel and see for yourself" Amelia said with a smile

"Oh ya I forgot" I said laughing

"Um no she just had twins" Derek said

"Derek I'm fine i can walk. I am perfectly fine" I said.

I got up and handed them the twins. I put my pants on and took my gown off. I put my shirt off. I can spread my legs that much because I have stitches. Carolyn, Lizzie, and Carolyn walked in

"What are you guys doing" Carolyn said

"We're going downstairs to watch the storm" Amelia said

"Ok well I'm taking these boys" she smirked

Derek and Amelia handed them the twins. Amelia was on one side of me and Derek was on the other. We asked slowly to the lobby that was across the floor.

We walked to the lobby and Derek walked by the sliding doors. They opened and he got flown out. The wind picked him up and threw him into the biggest pile of snow. Amelia and I kept looking at each other keeping our best to keep laughs inside us. Derek got up and was covered in snow. He walked over to us and I put my hand in his hair to try to get the balls of snow out. I started laughing loud and Amelia did the same

"Oh you thinks is funny" he said smiling

He picked me up and walked to the lobby.

"Derek" I laughed

"Put me down" I said

I went to his ear

"Put me down and you will get whatever you want from me" I whispered into his ear.

He put me down next to the door and i felt the freezing air. He held me from the back.

"You know I wasn't going to throw you because you just had babies right" he whispered in my ear

He smirked and Amelia came up next to us.

Derek turned around and picked her up

"Derek put me down I can't do the things she said to you" she said halfway over his back

We all started laughing

He took her outside and threw her into the snow. She pulled him down and he fell back into the snow. I started laughing. She hit him hard and they started laughing.

"Derek you know you won't be able to do that without me doing the same" she said getting up from the snow.

They were drenched in water and I started laughing. Derek picked up a snowball and threw it at me.

"Ow" I laughed.

He picked more up and threw them.

I went outside next to him and made some we threw snowballs at each other and Amelia joined. We were having a snowball fight in the front doors of the hospital.

We heard someone cough. We turned and saw the sisters laughing with the twins. Carolyn crossed her arms and was staring at us.

"We are caught" I saw silently to Derek and Amelia

"It was him,her" Amelia and Derek said quickly pointing at each other

She looked at us disappointed. She walked away with the sisters.

Amelia, Derek, and I were laughing so hard at each other. We walked back into the hospital.

Merder being cute like always💅 I already know I'm going to mess up all the baby names😭😭😭 but this was a fun chapter😂
