»Look, I'm just worried about him.« Annus held the golden insect like a phone. »He hasn't slept in two days, his eating habits are irregular at best, and he barely talked.«
»And what am I supposed to do?« The green haired mage asked through the device.

»Look, I don't know. But I need some help with this. Maybe you can get through to him.«
For a moment, Marvin was quiet at the other end of the line.
    »I'll see what I can do.«
A light blue puff of smoke rose up in the living room, a humanoid shape stepping out of it.

»Where is he?« Marvin asked, shaking some blue dust from his cape.
Annus motioned over to the kitchen with his head.
The mage approached Unus, who was sitting at the table. He was staring into the distance, lost in thought.
»Can I sit down?«
He looked up. »Oh yeah, sure. Didn't even hear you coming in.«

Marvin sat down, reaching out for Unus's arm. »I stopped by because I wanted to tell you that Blank and Dark are no imminent danger anymore. They're locked up, and even if they'd get out, you're off their radar.«
The man in the black suit nodded, not making eye contact.
»I have seen it too, you know.« Marvin continued. »What happened in the pocket dimension.«

»He killed her, didn't he?« It wasn't a question.
»Yes. I've never felt something like this before.«
»He was everywhere. You couldn't escape him. Even now I know that we'll have to face him again.«
»Perhaps. But now, we know how powerful he is. We can prepare properly.«

Unus briefly looked over to him. »Do we even have a chance?«
     »You survived a direct encounter with him. I'd say that's a good start.«
The man in the black suit huffed a pityful laugh. He leaned back in his chair. »I really don't wanna meet him ever again.«
»Me neither.« Marvin admitted. »But we've seen the worst he has to offer.«

Unus didn't respond, but his eyes had cleared up. He straightened his back. The mage kindly excused himself and returned to Annus.
»His mind is all over the place. He's been through a lot of trauma, and it will take it's time to heal.« He cocked his head to the side.
»What about you? You've been through the same, after all.«
Annus shrugged. »I'm fine, really.« It wasn't even a lie. He didn't feel distraught or terrified when thinking about what he saw in the pocket dimension. In fact, it didn't seem to bother him at all.

»There's something else bothering him, however,« Marvin stated. »Do you know anything about that?« Annus nodded, telling him about the torture Dark and Blank put his friend through.
»I see,« Marvin said, pulling back the sleeve of his left arm. »I might know something that could help. A small device was wrapped around his wrist. It was a small golden watch, shaped like a bug.

The mage pulled a few pins and twisted the watchface clockwise.
