the other team was stacked. you didnt even know how to play football, ana's knee was fricken broken, soda would just sit out with her and steve... well, he brought chocolate cake in a tupperware. pony and tina were fast but against allie and dally they were nothing. darry and two-bit played football through highschool and johnny...HE WAS THE FUCKING KARATE KID HE HAD THE MF FORCE OF DARTH VADER
you were done for. and really bummed you weren't on the same team as darry. ugh
your team gathered, ready to make a plan...
"WHOOOHOOOO GO CHOCOLATE CAKES", ana shouted
"ana were gunna get killed", christina rolled her eyes. finally, someone who knew what we were in for
pony playfully nudged christina "aww cmon we will win dont worry"
"uh i still think the teams are unfair", you pointed out
just then the other team did there cheer
"LETS GO MANS! MAN!"
wow dally really couldn't stop saying man could he? they got all set up and you made eye contact with darry and he smiled. wow. he looked even more muscular in the sunset than ever
"fuck", steve swore
"yea i know. were going to loose so bad", soda complained
"naw man my cake fell", and he scooped it up off the ground
ew.
apperently the other team heard this and starting laughing. not darry, he just stared into your eyes. for a looong time wow.
"someones got a crush", ana kicked your shin
"um ow. and no i dont", you laughed nervously
"i didnt mean you y/n, i meant him"
"huh", you were suprised
"he likes you. duh", she paused "its a thing all the brothers do, they stare at you from afar until they get the guts to ask you out. its what pony did to christina and soda did to me"
"what about dally?", you questioned
"hes not a brother hah, but he'll just sleep with you and if he likes you he'll call you back... if not. you will never hear from him again", she laughed
"what about-"
"what do you have a crush on the other boys now? go far darry okay? i mean it, hes really nice and sweet and hot"
"we'll see", and you looked at him talking to two-bit and johnny. "maybe", you whispered under your breath.

it was half time and you were loosing 42-0
ana and sodapop went to the fountain to "relax", ponyboy and christina were staring at the sunset, and steve was sulking on the bench.
your team gathered again
"okay everyone what are we gunna do", you asked
"NOTHING", steve yelled
"um steve chile", soda and ana luaghed
steve growled
"look guys cmon were not this bad", pony tried to sound upbeat
"YES. WE. ARE.", steve screamed, and the other team looked over. Two bit made a joke and they laughed.
"ayo steve my man you good man?", dally shouted. he was piggy backing allie
the other team laughed again and christina slapped steve on the arm
"STEVE. get your act together you fucking chocolate cake addict! we cant win the game but we can at least try to score another goal okay?", she whisper shouted
finally you thought, someone took charge.
as you huddled with your team you couldn't help but think about darry the whole time.
"okay", steve spoke up "lets do this. christina and ponyboy since you two are the fastest on this team-"
"were not as fast as dally or allie though", pony interupted
"ya bitch thats why you're the decoy let me finish", steve rolled his eyes
soda patted ponys back, you kind felt bad for him since steve kinda hated him
"anyways, you two are the decoys", he pointed at christina and pony, ana you can be the cheerleader, soda you're the QB, ill be defense and y/n.."
everyone looked at you
"ummm yes?", you gulped
"you're gunna catch the damn ball", and he smiled. ew his teeth were kinda bad. but you coudn't focus on that now you had to focus on the fact that you were going to catch--
getting distracted you looked around you. all the couples were hugging, laughing and talking to eachother. yea you wanted a boyfriend
the teams lined up, ana was cheering, pony and christina were on the edges of the pitch, dally and allie marking them both.
'who is marking me?', you thought
just then steve screamed bloody hell to start the play and you started running.
the ball soared through the air
you caught it and started running
"RUN Y/N YOU MALAKA", ana shouted. what the frick did malaka mean?
you glanced to your left, ignoring the person infront of you. Dally had pony on the ground covering his mouth and his hands behind his back. what the-
you didnt have time to think because you got tackled and landed painfully on the ground with a thump.
"got you", johnny laughed and then screamed HIYYAAHHHH as he did a karate chop into the air
you kind of layed there for a bit in shock. your butt hurt. ow
you sensed a figure approach you and in a quick second you were standing, looking up into their handsome features.
"dar-"
you didn't have time to even say his name before he crushed his lips onto yours.
"y/n... wanna go out with me sometime?", Darry asked
"yes ofcourse darry", and you smiled
looking around you saw all the other couples embracing eachother. but this time you had nothing to be jealous about...
awe darry is so cute!
