"Boo  !"

"Ah— Guanheng ! Do you have to scare me every time we meet?" (Y/n) sighed at her friend who was all giggling at her reaction. "Sorry, *Jie. Don't be mad, I'll treat you chicken nuggets later after school." Guanheng said.

"You better." (Y/n) rolled her eyes as the two of them walk inside the school gates. Qian (Y/n) is the type of student who is popular not only because of her looks, but also her kindness, smarts and talents. Anyone who knows her will either look up to her or envy her.

Although she doesn't care about whoever befriends her, not a lot of people wants to be her friend because they're either scared of being compared to her or they'll just feel they're not enough compared to her.

But it wasn't until Guanheng, who is 2 years younger, approached her and they finally became friends. It was a funny story actually. Guanheng, who was playing basketball at that time, accidentally threw the ball too far which caused it to hit (Y/n) at the head while she was walking around while reading a book. Although (Y/n) did forgave him, he still insisted on buying the senior chicken nuggets after school. And even until now, they remain as close friends. No, actually maybe they act more like siblings.

"Jie, are you doing anything later during break time?" Guanheng asked. "Yeah, I'll be studying for the quiz coming up tomorrow. Why?" (Y/n) asked again making Guanheng huffed in disappointment. "I was going to ask you to play basketball with me again. You're so good at it so you make a good opponent. I wonder why you don't join the girl's basketball team. You could be the team captain."

"Maybe next time, Guanheng. You know,  when you're at the last year of high school, you should stop playing basketball all the time and start focusing on your studies so you can go to a good university." (Y/n) chuckled. "I give up on studying. I'll just go to your house everyday to ask for money and food once I graduate.

"Excuse me? I refuse to adopt a child at such an early age." (Y/n) joked making Guanheng laugh. "Well Jie, I'll see you at lunch anyways. I'll go to class now." Guanheng waved goodbye as (Y/n) waved back and walked to her locker to grab the book for her first lesson.

'Where's my english book? I swear I put it back here yesterday after leaving cla—' her thoughts were cut off when a loud bang was heard after something, or someone hit her locker door. "Oh gosh, are you okay?" (Y/n) asked after closing her locker door quickly, seeing the boy on the ground, groaning in pain after hitting his head.

"Ah..yes." The boy nodded, though his face spoke visible pain. (Y/n) held out her hand for him to reach so he could get up, but he got up on his own, somewhat ignoring the kind gesture in front of him. Awkwardly, she retrieved her hand back, opening her locker again finally finding the english book which she was looking for a moment ago.

"Aren't you going to class?" (Y/n) asked the boy before leaving. "I don't know where my class is. I'm new."

"What's your class?"

"Class 3-1."

"We're going to the same class then. Follow me." (Y/n) said as the boy mouthed a thank you before finally trailing behind quietly. At this point, the bell had already rang just a second ago but, she's sure that the teacher would be fine with it. "Here's our class." (Y/n) said as she opened the door, waiting for the new guy to walk in and finally walk in herself.

"Sorry, I'm late. I brought in the new student, miss." (y/n) said. "Oh, thank you (Y/n). I was just about to go to the principal's office to ask about him. Well, introduce yourself to the class." She said to the boy as the boy nodded.

"My name is Dong Si Cheng. Nice to meet you all." He bowed politely. "Alright Si Cheng, you can sit beside (Y/n) for now since it's the only seat available. (Y/n), can you lead him to his seat?" The teacher asked.

(Y/n) wondered on why the teacher asked so since the class was small and the only two seats available were for the two of them. But, she did so anyways and made sure that Si Cheng and her arrived safely to their seats.

Si Cheng, who hasn't started any proper conversation with her, seated down silently as he took out the books from his bag.

"Before I start this lesson, (Y/n), since Si Cheng is new and you're the class president, can you please show Si Cheng the way around school during break time so he won't get lost the next time?"

"Oh...sure." (Y/n) replied as her plan to study during break time was cancelled in an instant as she made up her mind to study more once she got home.

"Great ! Thank you, (Y/n). I'll give you extra points for the next quiz."
