You remember someone from your childhood telling you, "It's the little things in life that matter."
It's a quote you never thought too much about. You had other things to worry about, but now it's fresh in your mind.
This moment although it's almost pointless in the grand scheme of things is something that you want to last forever.
Itadori has successfully dragged everyone to the beach including the second year just to hang out to create some memories.
You felt the cold water brush against your feet causing you to shiver at the sudden cold session.
Compared to everything that has happened in the past, and everything that will happen in the future this pointless act would be forgotten in a few weeks.
But that doesn't matter right now.
"Gah! Cold!" Nobara squealed once the cold water hit her feet. Maki let out a soft laugh as Nobara grabbed onto her jacket for balance.
Inumaki was chasing Panda around with a stick he found as Megumi tried not to get too wet. The sun was starting to set making everything look more breathtaking than it already was.
You took a deep breath as you felt your toes grow numb to the cold water that splashed around your ankles.
"Isn't the water cold (Name)?" Itadori asked putting his phone into his back pocket.
"Yeah, but it's nice." You smiled looking down at the small waves that brushed against your feet. "I'm happy you brought us out here we should do this more often."
"Yeah, we should." Itadori grinned gazing up at the sky. "I brought everyone out here since it feels like we don't get to do "normal" things that often because of curses and all the other stuff."
"Yeah, I guess I just accepted being a sorcerer as my normal, but sometimes I get jealous of people who live normal lives," You let out a dry chuckle as you played with your hands, "Although I take some type of pride in protecting people from curses I wish I didn't have to worry about when I die or if my friends might die each time I go into a mission."
"I understand...but what's normal at this point," Itadori laughed lightly before looking back to face the boy with spiky black hair. "Megumi can you at least put your feet in?"
"No the water looks cold," Megumi answered blankly.
"Please Megumi!" You and Itadori begged.
"Fine." Megumi sighed taking off his shoes and dipping his feet into the water. "It's cold."
"You'll get used to it." You smiled looking down at the cool water. "You know...I really like spending time with you all."
"Yeah...I do too." Megumi said softly almost in a whisper.
Itadori was far too busy scrolling through the photos he took of everyone to notice the soft smile that formed on Megumi's face.
