"𝗪𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗸𝗲!"
"Your alive," you stretched your arms across your chest watching as his face twisted with annoyance at your sarcastic remark, "Was worried you wouldn't make it."
"As if thats the truth." Megumi scoffed as he rolled his head to the side feeling his neck strain slightly.
"Well, he did give you a pretty good beating, if you ask me." Nobara laughed, "You couldve died or at the very least, your injuries could have been much worse."
"It's nothing that Shoko cant fix." Megumi sighed looking behind him trying to see if the second years could show up anytime soon.
"Can't always relay on Shoko," you hummed playfully, "She might not always be awake when we need her the most, or sometimes we might just be in too bad of a shape for her to help us."
"You underestimate reverse cursed technique, I hope you know that," Megumi mumbled under his breath.
"Hey! I don't—"
Whatever you were going to save was cut off, as the sound of multiple footsteps grew louder behind you.
"Alright, alright, let's not fight so early in the morning," Panda warned as he walked over followed by the others, "Save your energy for the run!"
"Aw, don't tell me..." Nobara uttered dropping her head low seemingly already accepting defeat.
Maki smiled as she watched her lower classmates' faces all drop, "Relax, it's nothing crazy— only a 25-mile run!"
"Nothing crazy! That's exactly what crazy is!" you groaned rubbing your temples trying not to let the impending pain of body aches get to your head.
"But it'll be worth it, there's a cafe at the end of the 25-mile run that having a huge sale," Maki informed walking ahead of everyone else, "Meet you three there, 'kay?"
The only thing Maki got in return was a sea of groans and annoyed stares, but what more could you do besides that? It wasn't as if you all would want to fight tooth and nail just to avoid doing any training.
And even though none of you wanted to admit it, you all knew that it would help you in the long run. It's all to become stronger and better— it's a part of the process.
By doing the math, Megumi was able to determine that it takes roughly two hours to run at a constant speed. The only thing that made it feel worth it was the trail that led to the ending point set at the bakery.
The trail was mainly in a rather tranquil park, having large trees that were blooming under the sun, along with grass that was turning greener every day. It was a beautiful sight, one that most could only dream of seeing.
"Wow! Look a the sky (name)!" Nobara gushed her orange locks flowing softly in the morning breeze. "Isn't the sky just beautiful?"
Gazing up towards the breathtaking clouds you couldn't help but agree. "Yeah...the sky is pretty."
